The box thing is ingenius. I could definitly see that kind of thing in Fred and George's store

I figured out this morning how it keeps sticking when you shut it....there is a tiny bit of paint on the latch. I thought it was cool. Smiley
When I was opening it my first thought when it stuck was that something would pop out at me. Cheesy

thumbkin-- cool wallet. I wish I could make things like that but unless it involves yarn...forget it!

Nope, you can't get Smarties in the States.  (that's why I sent them!)

What? I didn't know that. I've also just found out that Crunchie chocolate bars aren't sold in the States either. You poor Americans are so deprived! Make a northward journey sometime, Canada's got all that good junk food.

I figured you couldn't get them in the US anywhere but I hoped.......My son who loooves m and m's flipped for the smarties.

Yarnhag--- I hope it didn't sound like I don't like the hat you made. I re-read my post and thought, uh-oh. Smiley I wore it this morning already.

I received my packages from udhillb today! YAY! I loved her craftiness. Especially the weasley's wizarding wheezes box. It was painted shut (as a joke) I had to really struggle to open it. The every flavor beans flew out! (which my daughter thought was hilarious) here's the pics.

this is everything together
I received: a bulletin board that says gryffindor lions
a sign that says "gryffindor" and "Stephanie" on it
a cool tote with hogsmeade places write on one side and
diagon alley places written on the other side
a monster book of monsters journal (my son has already
               taken ownership of it)
a pouch with butterbeer recipe written on it and a bag of
              every flavor beans

and the tricky weasley box which was my favorite item.

and the inside of the box with the beans inside

okay, so that's everything! thanks again udhillb I love everything!

raina--
beautiful bag! I love the orangish flower print I thought the same thing about my bag looking professional. I wish I could sew like some of these people on craftster. Smiley

I received from yarnhag today! Yay! I absolutely love the scarf and hat! I could barely take pictures before my kids started devouring the candy and hot chocolate. Thanks so much! heres the pics.

this is the scarf which is beautiful, long and soft!

this is the equally beautiful hat she sent with the scarf. I am not one to like how I look in hats but this one I really like on me. Smiley you can also see the cable pattern really well on the hat.

and here is my horrible action shot but I had to show what I look like since it's only fair after all of yarnhag's hard work.

and one pic of the awesome smarties and hot chocolate that my kids (and I) loved. I think they are better than m and m's. Does anyone know if you can get them here in the states?

I needed a pick me up today and I came home from picking up the kids from school and there was my package! thanks again Yarnhag!

How would one go about putting a hat in them and what kind of hats are they? paper?

Yeah, they're very thin paper (even tissue) rolled up, usually in the shape of a crown!   Wink

cool. That I can manage. Smiley I'll have to hit the craft store tonight.

speaking of the crackers we were talking about..... the first time I had ever heard of them was on the teletubbies I am ashamed to admit. LOL
I think they are a nice christmas tradition. Now that my children are older (Except for my 3 month old Wink ) I may start making them.

How would one go about putting a hat in them and what kind of hats are they? paper?

I'm about to feel really stupid for asking.. but what's a Cracker?  Isn't it something you eat?

I believe it's basically a tube filled with holiday treats and you 'crack' the end off to get them out.
(at least that's what I know of them, I may be wrong) Smiley

lol somehow I think that the Wizard Crackers they have in the books might be a wee bit harder to make than the ones we muggles use Wink. Uhm, as a side note for whoever my partner ends up being. I know I have cats and all that, but...should you decide to make Wizard Crackers...leave the mice out please? Wink Thank you in advance lol

My ten year old gets american girl magazine and they had a tut for making crackers. they used an empty toilet paper or paper towel roll (cut in half)  stuffed it with treats then cover it in tissue paper. Sort of simple but they were cute the way they did them up.
