1  Re: Hogsmeade Diagon Alley Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by crochetfairy on: October 23, 2006 02:22:34 PM
I received my packages from udhillb today! YAY! I loved her craftiness. Especially the weasley's wizarding wheezes box. It was painted shut (as a joke) I had to really struggle to open it. The every flavor beans flew out! (which my daughter thought was hilarious) here's the pics.

this is everything together
I received: a bulletin board that says gryffindor lions
a sign that says "gryffindor" and "Stephanie" on it
a cool tote with hogsmeade places write on one side and
diagon alley places written on the other side
a monster book of monsters journal (my son has already
               taken ownership of it)
a pouch with butterbeer recipe written on it and a bag of
              every flavor beans

and the tricky weasley box which was my favorite item.

and the inside of the box with the beans inside

okay, so that's everything! thanks again udhillb I love everything!

2  Re: Make Me a Scarf Swap 2 in The Swap Gallery by crochetfairy on: October 23, 2006 01:48:34 PM
I received from yarnhag today! Yay! I absolutely love the scarf and hat! I could barely take pictures before my kids started devouring the candy and hot chocolate. Thanks so much! heres the pics.

this is the scarf which is beautiful, long and soft!

this is the equally beautiful hat she sent with the scarf. I am not one to like how I look in hats but this one I really like on me. Smiley you can also see the cable pattern really well on the hat.

and here is my horrible action shot but I had to show what I look like since it's only fair after all of yarnhag's hard work.

and one pic of the awesome smarties and hot chocolate that my kids (and I) loved. I think they are better than m and m's. Does anyone know if you can get them here in the states?

I needed a pick me up today and I came home from picking up the kids from school and there was my package! thanks again Yarnhag!

3  my first knit project post in Knitting: Completed Projects by crochetfairy on: October 18, 2006 12:44:35 PM
I have been knitting for about two years now and I finally got around to posting some f.o.'s here. These two scarves are nothing super special. They are done in plain garter stitch because I thought the yarn was fancy enough on its own. Smiley

this has beautiful pinks purples and some blue mixed in. My crappy camera didn't do the colors justice. I believe the yarn is N.Y. yarns but I lost the label.

this was for my daughter made from red heart light and lofty in a bubble gum pink (excuse the shoes in the background I didn't feel like photoshopping) lol

Thanks for letting me share!

I thought I would share a couple pics I took of the items I sent Nikkidear since she already received. (hope that's okay) My camera isn't that great so she can post some better photos.

the chocolate cupcake stuffie

bracelet and ring

a cupcake purse made from a happy hooker purse pattern

there is a set of homemade cards, a cupcake magnet and some stickers and notepads. I had fun shopping and crafting. Smiley

As I mentioned. I love everything nikkidear sent. My ten year old daughter wanted the purse and pillow but settled for one of the magnets.

this is the purse with a cupcake pin attached to the snap closure

here is the really really cute embroidered cupcake pillow

some cupcake magnets and shrinky dink cupcake magnets

probably my most favorite item... a cupcake rubber stamp (a hobby i just picked up recently and couldn't find a cupcake stamp anywhere around where I live)

this is the container the magnets and rubber stamp came in. there is also a strand of leftover pompoms from the purse she included.

this swap was totally fun and I can't wait to be able to join another swap!

8  pretty pink baby blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by crochetfairy on: May 31, 2006 01:22:42 PM
This is a project I finally finished for my daughter who will be born at the end of july. I actually started this blanket two years ago for my oldest daughter then she wanted something else. This was half done so I decided to finish it for the new addition. I signed up for the neglected projects crochetalong and this was one of my projects I had to finish.

you have to actually see the afghan to appreciate the colors. I used a bright pink with a pale pink both colors were red heart soft baby yarn... dont' remember the actual color names. anyway, my favorite part of the blanket is the picot edging i did. i think it finished off the blanket nicely.

9  pink and orange afghan in Crochet: Completed Projects by crochetfairy on: May 19, 2006 04:25:25 PM
I wanted to share an afghan I just finished for my daughter's birthday. It was inspired by the blue and purple granny afghan posted here earlier. Which was beautiful but these are the colors she wanted.

here is the afghan (folded in half)

and here is the close up of one of the squares and the color of the yarn

I used bernat softee chunky in carnival and redheart pound of yarn in orange and bright yellow.

10  fit to be tied purse in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by crochetfairy on: March 23, 2006 08:44:55 AM
I just finished making the fit to be tied purse for my daughter. I decided it would be perfect for easter. I plan on making another in black with the pink ribbon for myself. Sorry about the quality of the photo. I have a cheap camera. It is suppose to be bright yellow with a hot pink ribbon. The material in the background is what I lined the bag with. It's a lime green with little circles. Thanks for looking.
