Stretching is important too!  I would do my stretching at the end so I wouldn't get stiff muscles the next morning.

Make sure you stretch BEFORE and AFTER you work out. (more so before) Its so simple to do, makes you feel good, and simply prevents all kinds of injury.

465  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Jewelry Box on: August 15, 2005 09:01:07 AM
Since I've been extra bored lately, I've been running around the house photographing crafty things I've made. This is a jewlery box I made a few years ago. It's just one of those el cheapo $.99 plain wood boxes from Micheals. I used acrylic paint and silk flowers and decopaged paper that I ripped off to give it that effect. The inside lid is Mod Podged fabric scraps and the bottom is felt.
466  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / General boards? on: August 14, 2005 02:06:25 PM
I'm noticing that a lot of threads are being locked for being "off-topic" which I understand, but what about a general board? Where the topics don't necessarily have to be craft related. Judging by the amount of non-craft posts, I think people would use it and it would keep all of the other lovely craft boards on topic.

just a suggestion
467  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Pillowcase + Denim Shorts = Boho Skirt on: August 14, 2005 04:14:20 AM
kids will be kids. and to her credit, when I was little if I'd owned a pair of dorothy sequinned shoes I would've worn them with everything. to bed, even.

ME TOO!! Oh my gosh, I wanted nothing more than red sparkley dorothy shoes when I was little. I wouldnt have wanted to take them off either but my dad woulda been a butthead about it. Your daughter has a cool mom!!

That is really cute! Heck, I'd probably wear it myself. Does she love it?
469  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Using wall paint on shirts? on: August 13, 2005 02:42:12 PM
I was a professional painter on a paint crew last summer and i was always covered in wall paint. it might work but it will crack if layered on thick and it will make the fabric stiff as anything. AFter a few washes it sort of becomes one with the fabric, but im not too sure how well it would do if you were trying to paint something definite with definite lines, i only know about big splashes of paint all over my clothes.
470  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Show me your craft "room"!! on: August 11, 2005 12:37:04 PM
I'm green with envy!! We live in a small apt. Bedroom 1- My bedroom (we sleep here) bedroom 2- Boyfriends computer/book/action figures CAVE (he likes that its cavelike ugh) and room 3- is perfect, a great room for crafts but unfortunately this dude named "my fully paying roommate" insists on cluttering it up with his bed and belongings, the jerk even sleeps in there.. what a creep!  Tongue

I just have a piddely $10 garage storage shelf thing crammed with tupperwear boxes full of junk. If I had a craft room or area I'd never leave. As it stands, I fill a box with what I need and haul it out to clutter the living room for days.

Everyone has given me great ideas about shelving though... shelving, must have shelves.
