11 PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Death to School Bag on: August 29, 2007 06:04:02 PM
Ok, I've always wanted a coffin backback, but the ones I've made have never turned out all of that great. I came up with the idea for a coffin messenger bag instead! I really like how this turned out, but I think I'm going to make another one in a week or so because its definately not perfect and I'd like to make a few adjustments. If anyone wants a tutorial, I can take pictures while I make the next one.

12 PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Rainbow Bag -- Needs Embelishment -- No Lookey pinokeeo!!! on: August 23, 2007 07:52:01 AM
Ok, I made this bag for the Rainbow swap for pinokeeo (I'm serious, stop looking >.<).

Anyways, it seems a bit plain. Any ideas? (I didn't know whether to post this in Completed or Discussions & Questions)

The colors of the straps look a bit off to the fabric in the photo, but they do match, minus the pink.

13 OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / NEED GIFT IDEAS on: July 29, 2007 08:20:05 PM
Ok, I'm trying to figure out what to get/create for my uncle. His birthday is tuesday, so I don't have alot of time. BUT I'm not doing anything tomorrow, so I have an entire day available for crafting.

I was thinking of making him an IPOD cozy, but I don't know which model he has...and asking him would kind of give it away.

I have no ideas for anything else to craft.

About him:
He's a DJ
He has ferrets
He loves Nightmare Before Christmas
He collects horror dolls and other toys
He recently moved into a new apartment...so I guess I could create something for that.
He's a bit of a punk.
He's really into 80's music.

If anyone has any ideas, please help!
14 ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Masked Swap? (Ferrets, Pandas, Racoons, ect.) on: July 27, 2007 01:04:26 PM
I thought it would be neat to have a swap devoted to ferrets, pandas, raccoons, and the like because they have such neat eyes! I was originally thinking just ferrets, but I doubt anyone here has the passion for ferrets that I do.
15 CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Cardigan and Shirred Top (EGL) on: July 19, 2006 01:03:39 PM
I made a few really cute things from heart prints recently. I love them dearly.

My cardigan type top...I haven't decided if I'm going to put buttons on it or not though. If anyone is interested, I took pics while I was making it and I could do a quick tutorial.

My Shirred top. Please excuse my bra showing through and the aweful lighting and photography.
16 CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / EGL Sewing Frenzy (more to come soon!) on: July 12, 2006 09:36:03 PM
I have been on a sewing frenzy for the past two days...and I have came to share the fruits of my labor...
The underskirt:
Base is made from basic white broadcloth and ruffles made from white eyelet fabric.
Both fabrics were free because my best friend's mother is awesome.
Overskirt #1 (back)
Shown with underskirt. Made from a pretty red, pink, and white plaid.
It has some sparkly stuff in it but its not "OMG SHINEY!!! It looks really cute!
I added a bow in the back, though you can't really see it because it blends in alot.
I bought it the other day at joann's for $0.80 a yard.

Fabric bought at Joann's for $0.80 a yard as well.
Has a bow in the back too.

I hiked it up in the front and put little bows on it. I think it looks absolutely darling!
Full Skirt #1
Made from the same fabric pictured above.
Full skirt #2
You can see the sparkleyness of the fabric better in this picture.
Trimmed with lace and bows.

My friend's mother has given me a TON of loliable fabric and I just bought 10 different kinds at Joann's (for under $20 too!) so I will be sewing up a storm in the next couple of weeks.
I have enough fabric to make at least 25 more skirts, 5 pairs of bloomers, 3 petticoats, 9 pairs of kodona/dandy pants, 8 dresses, and a few blouses. (As well as all of the accessories such as headdresses and hairbows and such.)
My friend and I are messing around drafting patterns currently. We're opening an online store in the near future, so stay tuned!!!

20 OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Need help for my 16th on: October 10, 2005 07:23:23 PM
My 16th Birthday Party is coming up at the end of the month (October 29) and I still have very few ideas on what I want to do for my party. Its going to be halloween themed.

All I have for Ideas so far are the following:

1. Considering it will be halloween themed, I was thinking of a make your own mask contest. You know, the masquerade-style masks with feathers and glitter.

2. Because it will be my 16th, I was thinking of putting a bunch of pictures on a wall (cute ones from when I was little and pictures from past birthdays).

I need more help on activities and games...we may be setting up DDR in the living room and setting up a bonfire outside (if the weather that night is good). We may be in the hottub for several hours (whooo!!!), also if the weather is good. Any suggestions?
