So after the "Happy Feet" craze last christmas...or more like during it, i decided to make a small army of penguins. However, most of them found new homes, but one stayed with me!!!

Fully hand stitched, with eyes stolen from my mom's button collection...gives it a "i've drank way too much caffeine and i can't sleep" look...which i like. Adds character.

So, first post in the crochet forum...very exciting!

I just recently restarted crafting in general, and crocheting was the first thing to come back to me (since i'm no good at friggin knitting).

So here's my first creation in a long time!

It's a moeibus (sp?) scarf, inspired by watching some science show on tv and having grade school science class flashbacks...who said that stuff doesn't stick on you?

Made with Red Heart sport in color Hot Pink...and disgustingly easy to make! (if you want a tute, feel free to ask, tho i'm sure that y'all can figure it out way easy)

So, after being on the hunt for a purse while shopping with my brother, I realized that I need not pay 88 dollars for a simple bag that I could make myself. So thanks to the fabrics that I found all over my house, the 100 zippers I bought for an insanely cheap price, and a loooot of time, lack of sleep, and On Demand movies (IheartComcast), this is what ensued.


The top view of the purse, the opening measures about...a good 6 inches, while the bottom is about a foot, maybe 16 inches.


This is the detail of the latch used for the strap. I recycled an old bag I got at some conference a few years ago...that bag also supplied the strap itself!


Detail of the lining, it's a velvety sort of fabric that i aquired back in high school from the "free fabrics" used for class...hehehe...


This is the small matching clutch...i was very bored...and forgot to rotate the picture...

I'm not really screaming as much as the title hints, but I am wondering if anyone knows what can take spray paint off of skin? I was painting a shoe rack turned computer stand and got a bunch of the gooky stuff on my finger. it's all dry, so i've been trying to peel it off...but it hurts!

Anyone? Ideas?
