1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Pocahontas, John Smith costume ideas? on: October 24, 2009 10:53:50 AM
My boyfriend and I are planning on being Pocahontas and John Smith for Halloween. I think I have a general idea of how to do my costume, but for the John Smith one, I'm not sure how we could do that. Do you guys have any ideas on how to create costumes for either Pocahontas or  John Smith?

Thanks! Cheesy
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Eyelet Mock Cable Rib. on: June 29, 2008 10:50:27 PM
Hello everyone! Cheesy I do hope you can help me!

Ever since I saw the cutest little beret in some magazine, I've been looking for the perfect beret pattern so I could make one. Finally, I found the perfect beret pattern:

I'm not really a beginner, but I'm not particularly advanced either. I'm having trouble knitting up the eyelet mock cable rib. I didn't think the directions were correct on the website up there, so I looked around and found what I think were correct directions.

(You kinda have to scroll down a bit.)

To prepare for my very first hat, I decided to test out this eyelet mock cable rib. However, this is where my project snagged. Yes, there is ribbing! And it's curving a bit so it looks like cables. However, the eyelets seem to be missing!

Am I doing something wrong? Could someone please explain this stitch in detail? Thank you so much! Cheesy

Your help is very much appreciated! Have a wonderful day!

- Jamie.
