81  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Heading Towards Veggie on: February 01, 2006 08:38:47 PM
Good luck!  One of my favorite veggie foods ever is falafel.  I'm pretty sure it generally doesn't have any dairy, though it's often fried and thus not so healthy.  I like to buy the dry mix, add water, and bake it.
82  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Odessa (Grumperina for MagKnits) KAL on: February 01, 2006 07:49:03 PM
I love it!  I'll join as soon as I finish some of the other projects I have going right now.  This is definitely something I will make in the not-too-distant future.

I'm wondering if it would work in Noro or some other kind of self-striping yarn.  I really want mine to have multiple colors.
83  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Postmodern legwarmers! on: February 01, 2006 10:11:31 AM
They look good!  I've been meaning to make a pair of these for awhile.
84  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Come see the pretty things I made...Pretty Please? Edited to add new project. on: January 27, 2006 09:01:53 AM
I love them all, especially the circular shrug.  I don't know if I could pull it off, but I might have to try!  These are all really cute.
85  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My first FO a hat! on: January 27, 2006 08:50:35 AM
It looks warm!  Congratulations on your first FO!
86  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: "Lucky" from SNBN knitalong on: January 21, 2006 10:44:33 AM
These are all beautiful!  I've been considering making Lucky for awhile, and after seeing how great these all turned out I definitely have to make this pattern soon.
87  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Noro hat and headband on: January 19, 2006 08:59:32 AM
I LOVE them!  The colors are beautiful, especially on the hat.  I am going to have to just break down and order some Noro online, since I love every Noro project I see here.
88  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: FO: Trumpet Sweater on: January 19, 2006 08:55:39 AM
Looks good!  But when I read the subject line, I thought you meant a sweater to put on a trumpet - like a trumpet cozy.  Heh.
89  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: My own ART converse :) on: January 17, 2006 01:00:51 PM
That is great!  You did a really good job with the drawings.  I don't know if I could make mine come out as well.

I don't know if this has been asked in previous threads or not - but how would you deal with them getting wet?  Is there a way of waterproofing them?  I ask because I want to try making some and I live in the rainiest town ever.
90  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: panta! (from a finnish pattern). on: January 12, 2006 12:38:57 PM
I've been meaning to make one of these for some time and finally got around to it!

and another one that shows the stripes on the other side:

I'm really excited about it because I bought this handspun/dyed yarn at a craft show and finally found a good use for it.   Grin  I followed the pattern on page 4 pretty much exactly and I love the way it turned out.  I might have to try some more in different colors and yarns.
