1  Re: Brag About Your Vegetarian Dinner in Vegetarian / Vegan by beccabur on: August 05, 2007 06:47:08 PM
Well, tonight I heated up a frozen Amy's samosa wrap.  Not very creative, but definitely delicious!  Here are a couple pictures of meals I've made in the past:

Dal (basically just lentils, onion, tomatoes, and Indian-style spices):

Vegan pizza (I used salsa as the base, and added black beans, pineapple, onion, and jalapenos.  I also like to make pizza with hummus as the "sauce."):

2  Re: Full Tutorial To Dying Your Hair With Henna in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by beccabur on: June 10, 2007 06:35:20 PM
I dyed my hair with henna this winter.  I used the stuff for sale at hennaforhair.com, followed their instructions (mixing it with lemon juice), and I loved the way it turned out.

this is what it looked like before, directly after, and a month later:

it's been about 4 months now, and it still looks pretty red under the sun.  I'd definitely do it again.

3  Re: panta! (from a finnish pattern). in Knitting: Completed Projects by beccabur on: January 12, 2006 12:38:57 PM
I've been meaning to make one of these for some time and finally got around to it!

and another one that shows the stripes on the other side:

I'm really excited about it because I bought this handspun/dyed yarn at a craft show and finally found a good use for it.   Grin  I followed the pattern on page 4 pretty much exactly and I love the way it turned out.  I might have to try some more in different colors and yarns.
