6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Stamp Collection! (with pictures!) on: May 24, 2007 09:25:28 AM
I would say, don't do anything with the ACTUAL stamps but save them.  Do something with the photocopied pix of the stamps!  That way if you get something um, not so much what you wanted, you can retry.  Once you get to an AWESOME result, then think about using the real deal.

8  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Craft Package aka Stashbuster Personal Swap - DECEMBER on: December 01, 2006 10:06:05 AM
I'm sedna, and I live in Northern California, and I have SO MUCH CRAFT STUFF.
  I have

presto felt (sticky back felt) white, 9x12, still in pkg -1 sheet-
dark brown construction paper 9x12 still in pkg of 50
partial pad (maybe 40 sheets) of calligraphic parchment paper, 24lb stock
various colors of tapestry wool (needlepoint)
old road maps.  why am I saving these?
some loteria cards (not a complete set or game) about 15?
  1 1/4 bags of polyfill
a box of dominoes so old the white dots are flaking off- but you could use them like bricks or something.
  BEADS:
*About 200 cowrie shells ready strung.  I am pretty sure they are African.
   Pearl-like beads:
2 24" oblong strands, 1 bag of a couple hundred round ones, another bag of probably around 75 oblongish ones. (better than the strands)

  What do I want?

colored pencils (the kind you can use as watercolor, too)
   scrabble letter tiles
fabric folder for braided rug making- I don't know what this is called
carding combs (i will also someday learn how to spin)
anything related to bobbin lace making

I'm sedna, and I live in Northern California, and I have SO MUCH CRAFT STUFF.  It makes me tired to think about listing it all, but here is a partial list:
  I have

presto felt (sticky back felt) white, 9x12, still in pkg -1 sheet-
dark brown construction paper 9x12 still in pkg of 50
plastic sheet protectors for paper crafts or pictures? for 3 ring binder, -8-
partial pad (maybe 40 sheets) of calligraphic parchment paper, 24lb stock
various colors of tapestry wool (needlepoint)
old road maps.  why am I saving these?
some loteria cards (not a complete set or game) about 15?
  1 1/4 bags of polyfill
a box of dominoes that is so old the white dots are flaking off but you could use them like bricks or something.
About 200 cowrie shells ready strung.  I am pretty sure they are African.
   Pearl-like beads:
2 24" oblong strands, 1 bag of a couple hundred round ones, another bag of probably around 75 oblongish ones. (better than the strands)
  microscope slides
some dress patterns from the 50's
fabric like, whole sheets I was going to make curtains out of; not patterned, in muted colors (good for quilt backing?)
