I have never quilted anything before, but I have sewn quite a bit.  I have been wanting to use up my scraps by making a postage stamp quilt and I was wondering how hard they are to make?  I could use slightly bigger squares too, like 2" ones...

I am planning on making the New Look 6557 view D dress (example: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=225087.0).  I have made A without any problems, but I just had a quick question.
I have some lovely green fabric and a sheer overlay that I was planning on using.  Will it work to cut the pattern on the green fabric and then the overlay and hold them together like it is just one piece of fabric?  I hope that makes sense...

Since the search function is down, I was hoping that someone could help me find this.
A while back someone post a pillow that had a picture of her cat transferred on it and sewn into the shape of the cat.  Does anyone know what I mean and where it might be?  Thanks!

Has anyone tried using this as an alternative to a busk?  I just bought some "heavy duty" tape, so I want to try it.  Any suggestions?

I just bought myself a new backpack for school [the first one I've bought for 5 years], and it seems really blah to me.  I don't want to take it apart or anything, but I don't know what to do with it/how to make it nicer looking.  Any suggestions?  Here it is:

I have just bought some lace-up high heels for prom.  They are the kinda that wraps with ribbon up your leg.  They look kind of like this, but not nearly as high: http://images.google.com/url?q=http://www.hustlerpanties.com/prodimages/tesssilvertn
My problem is that the ribbon slides down my legs after I've had them on for a little while.  Any ideas?  Should I maybe even use a little glue at the top?  Or if anyone else has these, do you know any creative ways to lace them up?  Thanks!

The idea just popped into my head [maybe with help from the Simpsons] that I could get my boyfriend some erotic pictures of myself.  Not completely naked or anything, just something to get him thinking.  Comments?  Questions?  Ideas? BTW, we are both 18.
