11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: hoodie into zipup? on: March 06, 2008 08:56:06 AM
It should work just fine.  You could sew the zipper onto the front or inside and then cut the hoodie to give it a grunge look, or you could cut the hoodie, fold the edges a bit and then sew on the zipper.
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / New Look 6557 question on: March 06, 2008 08:46:14 AM
I am planning on making the New Look 6557 view D dress (example: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=225087.0).  I have made A without any problems, but I just had a quick question.
I have some lovely green fabric and a sheer overlay that I was planning on using.  Will it work to cut the pattern on the green fabric and then the overlay and hold them together like it is just one piece of fabric?  I hope that makes sense...

That is awesome!  How long did it take you?

I might have to try this, although our kitties have a strange affinity to chewing on plastic...
15  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Ideas for empty prescription bottles on: February 28, 2008 04:53:46 PM
I remember reading somewhere about a use for these.  You fill them with candy (sounds like a bad idea, I know) and write a fake prescription like "Take 1 every time you think of me" or something.

I use mine for spare change  Undecided

19  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Birth Control Swap? on: December 10, 2006 08:01:03 PM
I know a lot of us here are on birth control, particularly these dial packs:

Would anyone be interested if I started a swap based on it?  We could decorate/make covers, because, let's face it, they are damn ugly!  :-)

Would anyone be in one this?
