9  Re: I <3 COFFEE/TEA SWAP GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by I_Bleed_Hot_Glue on: December 20, 2005 08:21:05 PM
I got my stuff yesterday (and I guess I am the first to receive)! And it is all very cool!!!

Just in case you can't see the pic very well(my camera doesn't agree very well with the light in my room)....I got a box with a teacup design on it and inside was a few bags of tea and a few candys that are called Uncle Joe's Mint Balls (which may be my new favorite candy...partially because of the name Cheesy )
I also got a zipper pouch made out of material with a coffee design.  Inside of that was a pair of barretts with painted coffee beans on it, a matchbook note pad with a picture of the madhatter on one side and a quote on the other (which is "Drink your tea slowly and reverntly, as if it is the axs on which the world earth revolves - slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.")  And last but not least a bottle cap necklace with coffee beans in it (which seems to smell more like chocolate than coffee, which is totally fine by me!  Grin )

Thanks recycled_earth, it is all awesome!!!!

10  Jewelry Tool Case in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by I_Bleed_Hot_Glue on: December 15, 2005 09:26:50 PM
So I think this is the right place for this...I saw have seen posts here for knitting needle cases (which is what inspired me to make this) so I thought it was alright.

Anyway....So I made this at the beginning of the summer out of frustration with losing my tools because they were never together and scratching my hand on them when i had them in just a bag.  So one day(after getting a particularly painful scratch) I was reading some post and saw a knitting needle case and had an epiphany (which i often do when I look at Craftster).  So this is what I came up with.

The case....

A close up of one of the pockets (the flower was to add some design to it...it was done on my machine and it was my first stab at embroidery)

A Picture of the inside pocket (this came from a frustration of not mastering the art of the seamless fourth side...you know when you sew like a pillow and that last side needs to stitched but you can't do it on the wrong side on the machine because then you can't turn it rightside out then....yeah i can't seem to get that down)  And it doesn't have a liner yet, I haven't found a piece of material that is cool enough to put in there, but not too cool that I want to do something else with it.

And finally a picture of it rolled up. (I was going to put some type of closer on it, but do far it does well with out it.) If i was going to do this again I would have allowed for more space in between the tools so it can roll up better.

I am actually really proud of this Cheesy.  I don't know if the pics do it any justice...but I hope you guys think it is cool Grin!
