1  Still practicing in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by tammyinwv on: August 04, 2005 10:08:59 AM
Still practicing on this tote, trying to get the lining just right. It is looking a little better. fidget's advice is helping. You cant tell from photo, but the lining is dark blue with tiny red apples on it and green leaves.

This is a closeup of the monogram. Next time I am going to try a thicker one so it shows up better.

I made this purse from a combination of things posted on here.I drafted this pattern from one seen on here, but made it slightly smallerSomeone else did the cutouts and embroidered around them, and I tried it with this bag and the suede like material.

Hi everyone. I just found the bag instructions this evening , after reading several replies and lots of ideas, I made my first one.I had to post the pics.I think it turned out pretty good, especially since my 16 yr old daughter now wants one.

The bows came about by accident.I dint have any bought cording, so I covered some twisted yarn with matching fabric.Well when it came time to tie them, I didnt make them quite long enough so I made the bows to cover the ends of the cording.

This is my first frog closure.

I made this zipper closure from memory after reading a tutorial on here. The phone lines went out for awhile after a storm and I couldnt go back and re read them.Had to rip it out several times before I got it right.
