1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Fibertrends Huggable Hedgehog! More Hedgies added :) on: June 03, 2007 02:26:48 PM
Does anyone know if a online shop sells this pattern as a pdf? or something of the sort? I REALLY dont wanna pay 5 bucks shipping for a pattern! Cheesy

Hmmm, I don't think Fiber trends sells their patterns as Pdfs at all, but I'll look around for places with cheap shipping.

If you've never used Google Checkout before, you can order it from http://www.tropicalyarns.com/index.cfm?PID=40&ProdID=687 here and save $10 off your order, I think that promotion is still going on for new accounts, but you have to have your order total atleast $10 including shipping...

Thanks!  I really like how the colors ended up coming together too!

I don't have a picture of it on mcknitknit, but if you go to the Flickr Group there are a some pictures of people wearing the ones they made Smiley

It looks really great so far!  They do knit up really fast, the back does take a bit longer than the front but still goes quickly!

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: new mag: yarn forward on: June 01, 2007 09:30:16 AM
I am sad to say that I finally decided to ask for a refund of my money.

I never recieved my "Winter" issue of the magazine, and even if I did, I dont know how excited I would be about it since it's 100 degrees outside.  Undecided

I finally finished the Chevron Scarf I talked about back on page 81 Wink  It took me over a month to finish, but I got pretty bored with the pattern about half way through and set it down for a bit.  I am so glad it's done now though!

Wow, it looks so good!  What color do you think you will make yours out of?
7  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Re: Limbo board on: May 20, 2007 08:47:05 PM
Browsing the limbo board amuses me.

I must say I am slightly offended by this comment Sad  I am really offput by this whole situation considering one of my posts (of something I very much love and am totally proud of) is right now sitting in that folder.  I took out the link to my blog, but still it sits, and I am wondering why I have been singled out while many MANY other posts that have the same problems are not in that folder?

I am actually really upset by this situation, and I don't think this folder is there for other people to look through it to be amused.  That's all.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: "Hawkeye" Unisex Adult Cadet Hat --My favorite hat ever :) on: May 18, 2007 05:56:22 PM

I finished my hat yesterday and I love it.  I used cascade 220 superwash and knit the large size with smaller needles.  I went down one size and I love the slightly stiffer fabric it produces.  My hat  measures about the same size as my husbands size medium and it fits perfectly.

Your knitting looks flawless!  I may have to try that out next time I knit one for a more structured hat!

It looks awesome on you, you and your hubby are super stylin' now Wink
9  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: How's your Etsy shop doing now? on: May 15, 2007 06:22:22 PM
Thank you Tiph for the great advice!  I already switched some stuff around.  That totally made sense and I just didn't think of that before!
10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: How's your Etsy shop doing now? on: May 15, 2007 03:05:03 PM
Wow, it is really inspiring to read all the success stories about Etsy.  My sister and I just started our shop together a month ago and it has been a fun experience so far.

I'd love to hear any constructive criticism or anything or thoughts on how our page and banner looks.  We only have a couple items for sale, but seems like things are going well!

Anyways just wanted to introduce myself to the pack, this is a completely new area of Craftster for me, but it is nice to know there is a nice supportive bunch here!  Cheesy
