91  Re: Moving to Vegas in August in Nevada by aschnebly on: November 02, 2005 08:16:10 AM
I don't think I can meet up this Friday Sad  But if you guys go, have fun!  Hopefully we can get together again sometime soon!

Just for fun, here's a picture of our Rufus from Halloween, I just had to show him off some more...

92  "Yo Quiero Taco Bell!" How our chihuahua greeted the Trick-or-Treaters... PICS! in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by aschnebly on: November 01, 2005 08:19:51 AM
Here's our chihuahua, Rufus, on Halloween... he loves attention, so this costume was perfect for him!

The mini-sombrero was from a yardsale, and the poncho is some leftover fleece and about a 1/4 yard of trim.
"Soy muy guapo!"
The kids and adults loved him!

"Yum!  Chalupas!"

94  Our Halloween Decs! Monster door, Pumpkins, etc.--Pic Heavy in Halloween Decor and Parties by aschnebly on: October 30, 2005 10:55:36 AM
Ok!  Our Halloween decorations for the year are finally up, we've been gradually adding random things each day, but I think I'm finally done, unless we find some good things on sale!  We've got a bunch of different things going on, but that only adds to the creepyness right?

Here's a closeup of the eyes on the Monster Door, I bought fur to make a monster wreath, but decided to go this route instead...

We thought that all the eyes, combined with the pumpkin below might deter the children from taking too much candy.

Cute monster pumpkin, he started out as something else, but turned into this.

Some other random stuff..

Happy Halloween!

I got a great scarf today from Bobolink--and she made the cutest bracelets for my lovely daughter!  I'll take pictures once Camdyn lets me set her down.  Thank you once again for your beautiful knitted goods, Bobolink!

Here are pictures of my goodies!

-My scarf draped over my chair a few times, to give you an idea of the length and the stripes!
-A close up of the the texture, there are so many tiny stitches in this scarf!
-Me wearing it!  It's wrapped around quite a few times... it's so hard to take a pic of yourself wearing a scarf...

My daughter's bracelets!  They are great since she has an unusual name, it will be impossible to find things with her name on it.  I love them!

Thank you, Bobolink!

96  Re: City/Area Swap; Extension: October 24th in The Swap Gallery by aschnebly on: October 24, 2005 10:25:05 AM
^^^That stuff is awesome!  I love Cows on Parade too!

My partner got her things, so I'm going to post up some pictures!  Hope you liked it, sleepywalkin!

Kind of hard to see, but there's a recipe for a drink called Leaving Las Vegas--very very tasty!  The CD, some Vegas post cards, Las Vegas charms, and my personal favorite--the scarf and mittens set with appliqued heart, diamond, spade, and club on it!  Hopefully I can see an action shot of it at work in cold cold Philly!

Here are the close up of the charms, I'm not good in the jewelry area, but thought they would make cute earrings!

I made a vegas mix cd--There's a pretty funky collage behind it... I love how "Totally Nude" seems to stand out the most.  Here's the playlist:

The Thrills-Your Love is Like Las Vegas; Sheryl Crow-Leaving Las Vegas; Elvis Presley-A Little Less Conversation (Remix); Geggy Tah-Las Vegas with the Lights Out; Tom Jones-Shes a Lady; Elvis Presley-Viva Las Vegas; ACDC-Sin City; OAR-That Was a Crazy Game of Poker; Kenny Rogers-The Gambler; DJ Zinc-Casino Royale; Crystal Method-High Roller; Sin City-Motion Picture Theme Song; Big Bad Voodoo Daddy-You & Me and the Bottle Make Three; Everclear-Sin City; Roger Miller-King of the Road; Esquivel-Begin the Beguine; Tony Christie-Las Vegas

Oh here's the drink recipe!  For anyone over 21 who's interested!  Cheesy
1 oz triple sec
1 oz vodka
1 oz light rum
1 oz gin
lemonade
2 tbsp sugar
1 splash Sprite

Pour triple sec, vodka, rum and gin into a highball glass. Fill with lemonade, and sweeten to taste. Add a splash of sprite, stir, garnish a twist of lemon, and serve.

Sorry to be so long winded!

The clutch I made for seaofstars arrived today!  She asked me to post a picture!  She wish for something for going out, and said she liked vintage inspired styles.

I hope it gets lots of use, seaofstars!

Look what I got from Lasandri!!!

Fabulous little doggie paw protectors and dog treats to boot!

Heres my sweetie Rufus in them.  He was a little apprehensive at first, but he was getting the hang of them after a little bit!

Thank you so much Sandra!  This will be so useful here whether its hot or rainy (Like it is now, he hates going outside if it's wet!).

99  Re: Unconditional Swapper Swap - OCTOBER (gallery) in The Swap Gallery by aschnebly on: October 15, 2005 03:20:09 PM
I am the luckiest Craftster ever!  I was just having a really blah day, headache, exhaustion, grumpiness...

and then in my mailbox was an unconditional package from Synne!  I totally hauled once again here's my loot:

A HUGE BUNCH of vintage trims and bindings, rick rack and even buttons to make fabric covered buttons, all unopened in the packages!  I love sewing with vintage items!  THANK YOU!

Synne was also so kind she made me another pair of the crocheted earrings I love soooo much--cream with brown amber colored beads!  They are SO perfect for Fall.  I can't wait to wear these out I've been getting compliments on my Craftster things all week.   Grin

Synne you really turned my day around.  You're the best!

**I have to say this swap is all about feeling good, Thank you all my unconditional craftsters.  Now I can't wait for my peeps to get their things.  It could be PMS, but I feel like I'm having one of those drunk moments where you're like "I love you guys... you're the best ever!"

I just picked up the mail and I just got the best package from ithnkuno!

I got two pairs of crocheted flower earrings (pink and green) a long necklace which matches the green pair, and a gorgeous ceramic necklace.  The green stuff I put on instantly, because it matched the shirt I was wearing perfectly.  I'm trying to get the pictures uploaded this very second!
------
Ok here they are!

(sorry you can't see the green set the best, but I didn't want to take it off!)

Everything was packaged super cute too but I opened everything up so fast I didn't get a picture of that.  Beth, you went way above and beyond for this package.  Thank you so much  I will definetly keep at eye on your ETSY shop--check it out all www.monkeyandme.etsy.com!
