Ok!  I've finally gotten a chance to take a picture of the booties bobolink sent me... they are the absolute cutest things, and I am sure my daughter will be wearing them every day.  I LOVE THEM!

Thank you so much, Jessica!

i've seen various posts you've made with your daughter in pictures (and on your avatar), and I must say, i love that you post pictures of her on here. she is so beautiful. it's like she's growing up on craftster! haha. she's the craftster baby!
and those boots are so cute and so well made, bobolink!

Aw thanks!  I guess I love pimping pictures of my daughter here all the time... she definetly is growing up here, she's trying to walk now... and although her head isnt squishy, the rest of her is--she is 22 lbs at 9.5 mos, so cute.  The booties just make her about 50x cuter too!

I got my package from Kiwitart!

I am so impressed that everything in the package is something I have never done my own, so these are totally unique items, I have nothing like them already!

Ok, so I got a pop tab bracelet--although I think i will use it as an anklet or a choker as well, a hand made notebook/journal, with the cutest embroidered bunny on the front, a crocheted pink hat, and a duct tape purse with really cool detail of leaves on the front, perfect to use since my purse got stolen, and so thoughtful!  Also she sent me a nice note on a shaving cream card, which I have been dying to try for a long time, I think I definetly will after seeing how cool hers was... ok enough of my babbling, time for pictures.

Here's everything

Detail of the embroidery and the leaves on the purse

The crocheted hat, Kiwitart's first crochet project, it is soo good and I am really impressed, I think it will probably become my daughter's, since I have a huge melon head!  She's making a mad face here, mainly because I think she really wanted to get it in her mouth and eat it rather than wear it... (teething)

Thank you so much Katie!  I had a blast getting to know you and making things and of course recieving them Wink  Thanks for putting so much thought into everything!

Ok back to the gallery!  Here's the bee costume I gave to Lusterbunny!  I can't wait to see it modeled by her puppy for Halloween!

And StarSix let me know that she got the headbands I sent her.  Here they are, I've got a pic of them somewhere around here... but I hope we can see them in use!

I'm having to take a little crafting break for a bit while I have company... but I'll definetly be back on the bandwagon next month... thanks for the great swap!

I am so excited!  I just got the most wonderful things from Conley in the mail today!

She is tooo much, she sent 4(!!!!) crocheted bun covers in a gorgeous assortment of colors. AND she totally went above and beyond, and sent some knitted arm warmers... I serioiusly had to tear myself out of these even though it's 90 degrees outside here right now!  I can't wait... it starts to get really chilly here at night and these will be perfect.  Ok, I'll stop babbling for a bit, here are the pictures!

Here's my favorite, its got pretty red beads in the middle...

Thank you SOOOOO much... now I have tofigure out what to wear to match my new accessories Smiley

THANK YOU CONLEY!!!

Roxylu, you're so lucky!  Elecbunny had such gorgeous things in her stash...

I just heard from kiwitart!  She's got the package.  Here's some pictures of what I sent:

Wearable item-Some fleece mittens, in green, one of her favorite colors

Fun item-A stuffed elephant from an orangy fleece, with soem blanket stitch around his feetsies, and a craft floss tail.

Functional item-A shoulderbag... I felt like this was my most "iffy" item, and I was afraid she wouldn't like it.  Almost all my fabrics in my stash were girly, and contained pink... and the color that kiwitart hates the most is PINK!  But, she likes shoulderbags, so I made this one, adapted from a Vogue pattern.  It's kinda an olive green with gold lining.  It's got a hidden pocket in one of the straps, and a vertical zipper to open.  By the end of it, I was  *kinda* glad to see the bag go, it broke a few needles, and I had to use the ripper a little more than I like to, but I hope it gets lots of use, it's a pretty functional design.

Thanks for helping me stash-bust a bit... I really had fun making these things for my first swap.  Thanks so much Qwerty for setting it all up!

Here's the one I've been working on the last couple of days...

I love the gold in the fabric, I was thinkign of adding some gold trim possible or trying the Broomstick effect but I really like it!  Especially with my $5 boots from Buffalo Exchange  Grin

110  Re: Headbands and Scarfbands--No Sew Version in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by aschnebly on: July 24, 2005 05:27:26 PM
Here is like the easiest thing ever...

Take a scarf--this is an old one from Goodwill.  Tie ends to the hairband and adjust to your headsize, and you have a scarf that will stay in place!  and without sewing and you can adjust the width and everything.
