2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / 5 shirts (HP, Trek, Feminism, Gay Pride) on: December 24, 2005 04:15:35 AM
With only one small iron on transfer under my belt (for a craft swap).. tonight I made 5 shirts.. 2 christmas presents for my brother Jackson, one random present for my mum and 2 shirts for me. The thumbnail will take you to a large pic, so you can see it properly.

1. is made from Potterpuffs art http://www.livejournal.com/users/potterpuffs/
2. is a combination of just writing and Trekbats font http://simplythebest.net/fonts/fonts/trekbats.html
3. I got from some random website (google image search feminism, its a common image).
4. Was made by me, inspired by similar ones.
5. was originally made by ohmystars http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=51587.0 and also has potterpuffs art.

Im quite proud of them.. and the small probs ive noticed are things that practice will improve. Smiley
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Shirts + kids + fabric textas = fun on: October 08, 2005 01:47:46 AM
We had friends coming down for the weekend with a 1 yrold, 4 yrold and 6 yrold.. I knew I had some (Crayola) farbic textas Ive been wanting to use..So I grabbed a couple of white shirts (3 for $10!).. and sat the two older girls down with the shirts, and I did the bubs, and we decorated them.
This is the two older girls with their shirts (30mins in the dryer = set)

Didnt manage to get a pic of the one I did, bubs was sleeping with it on.. but it was kinda the same, just more orderly.. lol (love hearts, flowers, rainbows and bubs name Melissa etc).

Anyway.. the girls really seemed to enjoy it, incase anyone needs to amuse some littlies.. who can then enjoy wearing their art.
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Harry Potter Swap (Round 3) on: September 29, 2005 01:48:05 AM
Hey guys.. since aliciasjoy recieved what I made her (and doesnt have a camera) I thought Id start us a gallery, and post pics.

Here they are:

A knitting needle roll, with zodiac and owl/snitch fabric on black on the outside, and house shields feature on the inside and on flap Smiley I made a few pockets a lil larger for lil scissors etc too.. and theirs room for crochet hooks and wool needles (the needles pictured are my mums, i didnt post them.. lol)

A tote back for aliciasjoy's knitting or crochet projects (the handles are designed to fit on your arm lenthways, and can hold a pattern and accessories too).

Top: Aliciasjoys fave character was Ron.. so I made a decoupaged tin of various Ron pics, and heart shaped Ron marble magnets (hehe)..
Left: Magnetic Ron bookmarks (to mark her favourite, most read spots of the books), Bunbury and Australia stickers (she likes Aus, so I threw those in).. the top is the golden snitch earrings.. but that pic isnt that good.. hmm...
Right: A Koala (an Aus animal) dressed up in Hogwarts uniform! lol I had fun with him.. Smiley

Im so glad that aliciasjoy likes the stuff!

Thanks StarSix for organising!
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Pattern sizing wrong =/ on: September 18, 2005 02:41:58 AM
Well today I was making a dress.. it was made from a connected top and bottom part.. and usually the patterns are always larger than them say on the pack.. (like.. even though my measurements are normally bigger than the list, when I make the item that size, theyre always too big!).. so I went about making my dress..

After putting the top together (without inserting the zip at the back.) its super obvious to me that its gonna be too small.. so a lot of wasted time and effort.. and now I feel crap about myself.. (im not a lil girl to begin with).. but yeah.. so now the halfmade dress, all the pieces, and the pattern are packed away in a bag for when I lose a lil weight.. (its on my plan)...

but yeah.. feel crap now =/

on another hand.. i managed to do the darts, without them looking freaky.. haha
6  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Online craft supplies Australia on: September 17, 2005 09:06:21 PM
Does anyone know of some good online craft suppliers, in Australia?
Im talking fabric, general crafts..
probably not people who only sell beads.

The US has sooo many, and some great online fabric stores, surely we have some?

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Early posting on: August 03, 2005 04:10:46 AM
Okay, my question is about posting your item before the mail out date, and recieving feedback.

From what Ive read, I dont think there seems to be any problems on craftster, if you make your item and send it out before the mail out date.. Is that right?

With this, does that mean once your item has been recieved, do you then recieve good freedback, or does it need to be after more of the process is finished (say you recieve your item and let the organiser know?)

The reason I ask is,with your first swap: say it still has 3 weeks til its mail out date, you post your item, and its recieved say.. 2 weeks before the mail out date.. Can you recieve feedback early to allow you to sign up for more swaps?

I believe I managed to make sense... lol So if mods and even people whove organised, could let me know, that would be wonderful. Its just so I can plan ahead.
