1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered Handkerchiefs on: November 28, 2010 08:47:09 PM
Here are three handkerchiefs I stitched for my boyfriend's birthday.  They are all monogrammed with his initial and one has an airplane.  (He works for an airline)
Thanks for looking!

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / "Coffee bag" bag on: November 18, 2010 08:58:34 AM
My new favorite tote for trips to the grocery store.  The smell of coffee all the time!  I keep it in the car and now my car smells like coffee.  I hear coffee is a natural deoderizer, so that's cool too!  I have two pre-teen boys, my car smells. LOL

Some bags from my own coffee habit and some from friends who couldn't figure out what I was planning on doing with used coffee bags.  Add a little duct tape and Voila!

That Starbucks bag is ginormous.  It came from Costco.

Good ole Dunkin Donuts coffee.  mmmmmm.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Kids + Chocolate Ice Cream = NEW SKIRT!! on: August 23, 2005 02:13:48 PM
I know this has been done before, but here's my take.  My 5 year old spilled chocolate ice cream on the leg of my favorite pants.   The stain wouldn't come out so I opted to recycle into a hip skirt.  They had already been reconstructed from regular jeans into cropped jeans.  So this was its third incarnation.  Not bad for a $5.00 pair of thrift store jeans!  I think I got my money's worth.
Before

Then the after, I used the trim from around the bottom of the legs to fill in the missing triangle.

Thanks for looking.  (I sound like ebay!! haha)
