4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My very gold prom dress! on: June 22, 2006 06:04:20 PM
im only in grade ten, but i recently got a boyfriend who is in grade 12. he is pretty flamboyant and wears some pretty crazy things so he was going to go to the prom alone as Lord Gold (something from horse the band). but then like a week before the prom he decided he wanted to take three girls and just walk us around and then go into the prom alone, which was fine with me. then two days later he decided he was just going to take me, so he bought my ticket the last day of school and of course i took this as an opportunity to make a dress. i had never made anything with a pattern before, but i bought one and hoped for the best. i think it was burda 8147. anyway, it turned out pretty good..im proud of it and i made in three days as it was quite last minute. our goldess rocked the prom if i do say so myself! Grin

note the gold fanny pack and cell phone..he spraypainted his hightops gold too but you cant see them

7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: bleachy tree stencil on: February 19, 2006 10:36:53 AM
this shirt was mostly a fluke...i drew the stencil myslef and then traced it onto freezer paper and ironed it on. the orangy part of bleachhyness is where i held my little spray bottle thingy with bleach and water in it farther away and the white dots are the parts where i just let it drip on in some higher concentrationism..thanks for saying stuff:) im happy it was enjoyed!
8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / bleachy tree stencil on: February 14, 2006 03:57:21 PM
i had this black shirt and it was sadly fading and looking less black. ive always wanted a shirt with a tree on it and i quite enjoyed the thought of bleaching something on purpose. i burnt myself with an iron to achieve this but i like it.
