1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Black and Gold Swirly Bracelet/Earring set on: October 31, 2006 08:14:15 AM
Cute!  Smiley  I love swirls and these ones remind me a bit of sea shells.  If I had put more thought into it I would have made something orange and black for today too Grin

Gorgeous!  The first pair of earrings looks quite magical with the flecks of blue from, I'm assuming, the camera flash.  Almost like twinkling snow.

I too would love to see a photo of the necklace in full, or even an action shot.

Personally, I like them all, but the first one is my favourite.  It reminds me of olives!  Grin  Funky!

Are the green shells from the new collections of glass and shell beads that you can purchase at Michael's?

sweetiemonster:  I'm not sure on the exact length but the main part of the chain rests on my collar bone.  The extra piece of chain and the pendant hang down about 2 1/2 more inches.

The pendant is a glass bead that I had from one of those "mass 'o glass" tubs that you can pick up at Michael's.  I am glad that I was able to find an unconventional shape since they're mostly round in those tubs.

Thanks for the comments everyone!  Smiley

This was probably a 10 minute necklace, one of those spontaneous moments of inspiration, but I love, love, love it!  The glass pendant is a funky colour that kind of morphs depending on the colours around it (army green/grey/black etc) and the length is great for filling in all different necklines.

What do you think?  I am always so inspired by everyone's posts on here so I love getting feedback!

Thanks for looking!!!  Smiley

(I'm having fun trying out my new digital camera!)

Ooooh! your necklace is very pretty!  Smiley  I recently purchased some smaller glass leaf beads and have not figured out a use for them -- now I'm wishing I had a larger leaf pendant! I bet this would look lovely with all the browns that are popular in clothing this year  Smiley

Sidenote:  Anyone else have a heck of a time finding brown beads?!

I live the silver and the green, they mesh very well together. How does it lay against the skin? I must admit, I'm curious Wink

Just for you orange_sunset!

Thanks Luxe!  Smiley  I actually had to force myself to make this asymmetrical because I usually balance everything.  Glad I was able to pull it off!

What a super cute idea!  I'm always looking for new ways to use the buttons in my collection and this is such a clever idea.  Thanks for sharing!

Here's a necklace that I made this evening while experimenting with green glass and purple acrylic beads as well as sterling chain.  I'm not sure how I feel about the extra piece of chain that is attached to both sides of the necklace.  What do ya think?!

Hopefully it interests someone who is considering a swap with me!  Wink

Comments and criticisms appreciated!
