I've never made shoes so really, I have nooo clue, but I was thinking maybe you could somehow have some of those really nice cushy gel soles in there, like, in between the layer of fabric and the sole fabric. I'm sure somebody could figure it out! (not me..) I put some of those gel soles in my work shoes and voila! No more sore back after a hard day on my feet making smoothies at work

I was thinking you could use headliner fabric found at JoAnn's in the home dec dept. (I used to work there) it's used to line the roof of your car and it's cushy. a lot of people bought it to make their own insoles. it's like $10 a yard, but you would only need 1/3 and you would get many pairs out of it b/c its about 54" wide. i would sandwich it in between the pieces of fabric or even just use it as the bottom lining since its fabric coated. i'm definately going to try this soon. i'll post when i'm done and let you know how it turned out!
