CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / "Patchwork" baby blanket
|

DH's cousin and her husband are having their first baby this month, so I thought I'd take advantage of it and brush up on my crocheting, trying as many new stitches as I could find: 15, to be exact (there are 16 squares but I think I repeated the dc,sc stitch as I was running out of ideas). I wish I'd written down what stitches I did for what square, as now the blankie is gone, 2,000 miles away in Utah, waiting for its wee owner to enter the world. What do you think? xoxo Maggi

Wow! And for a first unique pattern, too! It's positively adorable! Did you show it to your daughter, yet, or are you saving it for the party?
I'd definitely consider posting a Poyoco picture, or a link, or something, so people can see just how good you got the resemblance down. I mean, even the swirls on the knees! Too cute.

What a freakin' great idea.
I, too, perspire a bit much for the female persuasion. What a great way to breathe new life into old, armpit-sad shirts. I'm also getting close to having my first baby, and am definitely considering doing this to a few of the shirts I know I won't be fitting into any time soon, so I can have some new, non-maternity stuff to wear as my belly starts to shrink.

My husband thinks that's super cool. I'm kind of sorry I showed him, because now I can't steal it and use it on him. Oh well, maybe he'll forget in a few years. I doubt it, though. That's so clever! Is it difficult to gloop on enough melted chocolate on the balloon to get it thick enough? How long does it take for them to dry? I've seen this done before, but yours look really great. xoxo Maggi

Toesocksrock apparently gets nothing. I'm bummed about that. Itsmemaggi (a name I use for most other boards I'm on) has none, either.
Firefox didn't let me down, though: for toesocksrock, I got, among other things, skyrockets, which is kind of cool. For Itsmemaggi, I got Magging, and I don't even know what that is. Hm.
