1  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by Blu on: May 25, 2006 01:53:24 PM
My hair is posted a few dozen or so pages back. But it's grown some since then!  Wink Even though I don't have fun colors or a new style, I can still show what I do with it, right?  Grin It doesn't just hang all the time.  Cheesy

Here's mine. No funky colors or cool dreds. Pic is from the back, it's a lot easier to see it than a front pic.  Wink The very ends got cut off, though. Like my antennae?  Grin

3  Dad's Old Work Shirts Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Blu on: March 27, 2006 08:28:34 PM
Hey everyone! This is my very first post on Craftster, after lurking for eons.  Grin

I made this purse/messengerbag type thing about a month ago from two of my Dad's old work shirts that were going into the trash. I've never sewn anything without a pattern before, so I used (loosely) some measurements from Knitty.com. Seriously. If you look closely, you can see I used the button hole placket for the straps. The flap was already hemmed, I used the back of the shirt, and added beads to help hold it down. I think I'm going to add a snap or something, as it flips open a lot. I guess that's it. I use it mostly for knitting projects, and on trips for misc stuff I want close to my seat. These pic were taken right after I finished it, by now it looks a lot more worn and frayed.
