1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Ripped Jeans on: September 24, 2005 09:17:48 AM
Okay so I have this pair of jeans that I have grown emotionally attatched to, except they have a ridiculous amount of holes in them.  And not in the places that look cool, like the knee, but embarassing places like the crotch.  Any ideas on how to repare them?  They have a rip up the butt and holes in the crotch and a hole where the thighs rub together.  I thought about patches but a patch in the crotch would look awkward.  Is it possible for me to sew fabric underneath, but then how would I cover up the stitching lines?

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Ipod Shuffle Cozy Help on: August 31, 2005 04:49:59 PM
Okay so my friends birthday is in two days and I just realized about ten minutes ago that having her birthday would require me giving her a present.  That didn't really click until now.  She's really hard to shop for, but I have decided to make her an ipod shuffle cozy.  I found the tutorial on this site, but I don't have an ipod shuffle so I don't know the dimensions.  Could anyone possibly post them for me?  It would be of the greatest help.

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / cd player container on: July 19, 2005 05:41:44 PM
Okay I'm in a bind.  I had this cd player that worked until my friend touched the lens.  I didn't want to throw it away and though I could hollow it out and use it to store stuff.  The problem is I had no plan to hollow it out and just started whacking at it with whatever tools I could find.  Another problems is I was just trying to get the top and the insides out, but I can't get the top out because it's attatched to part of the side.  Can anybody help me?

And this is the inside part I took out and was wondering if any of you had any ideas of what to do with it.

6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Sunglasses Swap on: July 17, 2005 12:03:17 PM
Okay, I'm not eligable to organize a swap or I would.  Someone should organize a sunglasses swap where people can do something creative to a pair and then send them off.  And maybe when I'm on here long enough to get eligable I'll organize it myself. Smiley
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Domino Necklace- Help on: July 17, 2005 11:58:18 AM
Okay, so this is how this whole idea got started.  My friend was vacationing in Fredricksburg and looking at boutiques.  She found a necklace made out of dominoes that was vastly overpriced, but she called me thinking I could make one using the dominos in my living room.  Problem is, I'm stumped on this idea.  Should I just drill holes and then string them?  And her sweet 16 is coming up soon I thought maybe I could make 2 and turn them into friendship necklaces or something.  any help is appreciated.
