Hi, I'm visiting Singapore next month... Any thoughts about where to find knitting yarns and supplies? Thanks Smiley

LOVE IT!!

It looks very professional. Love the fabric too. And you did it without a pattern? WOW.

I second the opinion of not objecting if you'd post a tutorial Cheesy But of course, only if you want to. Smiley

For teenage boys you could also knit an ipod/mp3 player/gameboy cozy... I think they'll be into gadgets and stuff. PLUS it's small and REALLY FAST to knit.
Never been to Japan, but just throw in my two cents Grin
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: One - Two Skein Brainstorm on: October 24, 2007 10:21:13 AM
Ooh this has always been my problem! Where I live it's a bit difficult to find good yarns. Most there would be limited choices and price a little over my college student budget lol so my stash is basically full of one or two odd balls of yarn.

I make a lot of cozies (I think any little electronic device in my home gets one lol-cellphone, my Creative Zen, MP3 players, CD players, flashdiscs, you name it... hmm probably I should make one for flashlights and computer mouses too lol), cute toys (oh I LOVE toys!), arm warmers, eye mask (trouble sleeping in even the slightest light), small purses (coin purses, make up, pencil case, glasses case, etc), and belts.
I think stripes is a good idea. VERY good idea.

Oh and I'm planning on knitting a book cover. I love making my own journals and blank books, so... I think it'd make an interesting cover Grin

How about coasters? Bath puffs? Felted bowl? Jewelry? Mouse pillow thingy (thought I saw a pattern somewhere...)?
Even maybe a little pillow for sleeping in (boring) classes? lol I feel like I'm going to receive evil looks from some teachers here Tongue

I like the third one. The color seems so 'happy' and candy-like Grin

Aaahhh why so many cliffhangers! Grin

"saao orkdiolb dgnlo" << what does this actually mean? Huh A foreign language? Ooh, maybe some kind of an anagram? Wink

Can't wait to see the finished books. Hope you're gonna post more soon!

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: easy pretty knitted necklace (beaded icord - includes link to tutorial) on: October 21, 2007 06:04:21 AM
OMG I have to try this! I have smaller beads though, like 4mm diameter ones. You think it could work?
Or maybe I'll just have to buy larger beads next time... But then I have to wait!

Thanks for the tute!

That's awesome! I've been meaning to make my own Moleskine, I'm gonna have to try! Cheesy

Btw, after you said "This is where I got the tute from." is there supposed to be a link of some sort? Huh
