So.. I'm planning on making stud earrings for my sisters for Christmas, and it's my first time working with polymer clay, so I have a few questions.. First, Do I bake the actual studs in the oven along with the clay? Second, What can I use to seal the clay to the metal stud? Any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
very nice. I especially like your hobo bag. I just started sewing yesterday, in fact, and am now hooked on it. I think I'llmake a hobo bag like yours with a really cute dress taht no longer fits. Thanks for the inspiration!
First of all, paper. You definitely want to get a pack or two or three:) of assorted colors of paper, buy them at Walmart, they are really cheap there. Don't buy the patterned paper there, however, because there is a very limited selection and costs the same as scrapbooking stores. When you do buy patterned paper, which I do recommend, bring your pictures with you to the store. Trust me, it's much easier this way. Saves a lot of time and stress. Pens of course are a must, "scrap packs" of assorted colors of scrap cardstock or vellum are a good thing to have on hand- they are really cheap at Walmart. I love to use "brads"; they are so simple and you can just pop them in for a finishing touch- I would just buy a pack of assorted colored or just plain black or silver circle ones to start out with. And remember, keep it simple.
