1  Re: Back to Hogwarts Gallery in The Swap Gallery by InvisibleCastle on: September 19, 2011 08:44:32 PM
I've received from my amazing partner, Lilak Tygress! Warning! Picture obese post!

Even the box looked good:

Letter from Professor Snape, Potions Master:

The token group shot:

I also got a beautiful Hogwarts chest/ jewelry box...

With Horcrux stitch markers inside!

Isn't Harry adorable?

In the first, group picture, the bright yellow thing in the corner is an amazing jacket!
Here's a picture of the back. It's so comfy!

Also, from Hufflepuff House, is an amazing smelling candle and plate. I've been so spoiled!

I picked transfiguration as the class I wanted to take the most, and Lilak Tygress sent this:

What I want to know is--did she make this book herself--because it looks fan-FREAKING-tastic!

And the back side:

The shop I picked was Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop of Hogsmeade, and Lilak Tygress made me my very own quill!

Ohmygosh! Everything is so amazing! Thank you Lilak Tygress!

I received from everyone!
From Stickerchic87 I got a wonderful Fievel mouse from the animated movie 'Fievel Goes West'. Isn't he adorable?

I opened my packaged and out popped Luna Lovegood. She's amazing! Thank you Yennamuffin!

Last (but not least) I got Calcifer the fire-demon from 'Howl's Moving Castle' from Finraziel. Isn't he just the cutest thing?

I especially like his sparkles. Wink

Thank you everyone! I am super impressed by all of your work!

Okay, here's what my sister received from Oxynitrate!

A pretty awesome hand-painted box. It's Chihiro from Spirited Away.

...and soot sprite:

But what's inside? Adorable soot sprites! Aren't their little bug-eyes cute?

Also inside the beautiful box were some neat pendants! One is from my sister's all time favorite movie--Casablanca! The other is from the very cool zombie thriller--28 Days Later.

And the flip sides:

Great job, OxyNitrate! Thanks for being such a superb partner!

I *JUST* realized that no one can see these pictures of the package I received...which makes me feel bad because Oxynitrate's stuff was awesome. So How do I get pictures to work? I've done it before but now it's being lame? Or maybe I'm being lame?

I was using flickr and pasting the URL in to these things:
Any suggestions? Sorry that I'm being so technologically challenged... Embarrassed

7  Re: The Everything Harry Potter Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by InvisibleCastle on: August 28, 2007 03:43:13 PM
It came!

First was a letter from McGonagall herself, as well as a contents list.

I got my own witch's hat, just like McGonagalls!

Each item had a letter on it about the item...nice touch!

A charm bracelet with a clever charm representing each of the Weasley children.

Then of course, the ever fateful Mirror of the Erised, complete with a warning to be careful how to use it.

Then, a very cute cell phone cozy, said to be from Arthur Weasley after he learned to knit like a proper muggle.

Ollivander's guidebook of wands was next.

As you can see, it's very detailed and fascinating.

I even got a bag to put my things in.

And last but not least, a future Hogwarts stencil!

Thanks so much!  This swap was so much fun!

Oh, and she made this cute tin, which has a handy mirror on the inside!

Thankyou Kircaldy!

9  Panda costume! in Halloween Costumes by InvisibleCastle on: October 09, 2005 05:58:36 PM
I was inspired by the Care bear costume (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/karawood/DVC00084.jpg), and decided to make my own version for an upcoming halloween costme party--as a panda!

Here is my friend modeling:

The ears are a little crooked--my sister marked them for me while I was wearing it and after sewing them on according to the marks, I realized she didn't mark them right...

Tail!

10  Flamenco Dancer in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by InvisibleCastle on: September 14, 2005 08:18:09 AM

I had fun making a Little Bo Peep (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=44645.0), so I thought I would make more crocheted figures.  I made a sort of French Aristocrat from the olden white-powdered wig days, but I haven't starched her skirt yet so she doesn't stand up.  With the Flamenco Dancer, the gold stitching was very sturdy and because I made her underskirt of it, she didn't need to be starched to stand up.  It holds up really nice.  I have a few more ideas so I might be posting more.

Various angles...

A little close up.

The camera really doesn't highlight the color very well... It's actually much more red rather than that funny shade of pink, and the gold doesn't look spotty at all.  But I think you get the idea.
