1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / this is a story... my first wearble sweater [img heavy] on: January 08, 2006 08:38:09 AM
for my birthday in september my stepmom gave me some slighty scratchy acrylic yarn (feels like red heart) left over from an afgan she started crocheting for me when i was 10. the pretty pastel colorway screamed sweater to me so i started that day.

i wanted it for myself as a little cropped cardy/shrug but it was too small in the boobal area and my baby needed loving so i finshed it 10 minutes for the party (it would been sooner if i wasn't writting the pattern as i went a long) wrapped it up all nice and prayed my 11 year old cousin appreciated it.

she tried it on the second she opened it

she never saw button loops before /=

she really liked my fancy mother of pearl buttons

she's a little goober

she liked it so much she took her store bought sweater off and put mine right on [=

I think my sweater is going to get the lovin' it deserves [';

(everything in transit?)

alot easier than i thought it would be.

ok now to the point, which method do you prefer? do you chart your own designs? and where can you get the fancy knitter's graph paper (no LYS )= )

a self designed corset, black and purple red heart double stranded, for tweed-ish look, on 11's, miles of endless garter though its surprisingly soft for acrylic

and i have a small travel project, sugar n cream wrist warmers in a creamy color on 7's,
