1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Felted Purses on: February 25, 2004 11:08:13 AM
I've got two going to Plain Mabel now that I've got my labels to identify to the world at large that "Yes, I made that!"

Here's a pic of one of them:
This one is Beige.  The bead the keeps the flap closed is a felted bead so the entire thing is pretty much just wool!

In Guthrie, OK there is an AMAZING yarn store, SWAK Knits on Oklahoma,  that has it all from plain old and inexpensive to over the top incredibly pricey. They've got kits, samples, a clearance table, classes and once a year they have a three-day (or so)workshop for knitting. Website is http://www.swakknit.com. I give this place two thumbs up!
4  UNITED STATES / Oklahoma / Stitch n Bitch on: January 26, 2004 07:34:00 AM
I've organized my first stitch & bitch meeting to happen on Jan 28th, 7pm at the Barnes & Noble on Memorial Road, near Quail Springs Mall (OKC) if anyone's interested. So far I know I've got four people besides myself - little group, no set plans for anything huge, no agenda - I think since I'm the most experienced knitting, I'll be answering questions and offering help but I like to do that!
