Yay goodies!!! Magnificent is too small of a word to describe my package! 1boy1girl1kitty2 really , REALLY spoiled me. Wow...

Day 12

Great note cards for swapping, lovely gift tags and gift card holders that far surpass the ones you could buy in the store!

Day 11

Delicious almond bar and truffles with a white chocolate/peppermint middle! mmmmm

day 10
10 wonderful lipbalms, made by 1b1g1k2! Folks, I wish you had scratch and sniff monitors because each one smells wonderful! I would like to point out the lovely gift bag she made for them too! My daughter has already made off with one of the strawberry. I'm loving the pumkin bread at the moment but they all smell divine!

day 9

This was a really sweet and wonderful gift. Clearly miss 1b1g1k2 thinks about her partners. We have a tradition in our family. We've been collecting ornaments since before our kids were born so that when they leave and get their own homes they'll have ornaments of their own that they're familiar with. Kind of like carrying a bit of home with you I guess. Anyway, I got 3 sets of ornaments!! One for us (our main tree is a mish mash of all kinds of fun ornaments) 1 for my dd, 1 for my ds, and one for us! I really need to get a better shot of the wreath, I'll try to do that by this weekend.

day 8

8 wonderful linen napkins! I am trying to become more frugal and also mindful of how much waste I produce in my house and napkins are something I'm  trying to collect.  These are beautiful, and I will use them one day, but now I just like to sit and look at them! LOL Yet another lovely bag too!

day 7

7 beautiful pairs of earrings! Each one is gorgeous and well made! I

day 6

4 glorious soaps and 2 awesome perfumes, all made by her! They smell wonderful and each is specific, like exfoliation, or anti itch bar. Hubby was particularly excited about the soaps, he loves handmade soap. But I told him these were special and I'm not sharing lol! What's really great is all the products she makes are all natural!  Oh and another lovely bag.

day 5

Fiber!! four lovely skeins of hand dyed yarn, some of her favorite bamboo yarn (that my daughter declared better than alpaca!) some gorgeous roving (that I cannot wait to spin up!) and some wonnderful embroidery thread/accessories And yet another fab bag!(it's under the yarn)  I didn't get any paper wrapping Can you believe how great a swapper she is??

day 4

another great bag with 4 incredible necklaces and bracelets that match some of my earrings in day 7!! My daughter has already been eyeballing these as well Cheesy And another great bag to store them in! Such fine sewing skills!

day 3

The coolest rug for in front of your sink! It was a favorite of her grandma's, and it doesn't wear out! How cool to be able to have something so dear crafted for me! Also the most amazing table runner and placemats! They're so beautiful! I bow to her quilting skills. I have none so this is really exciting for me!  Action shots then close  ups

Day 2

A tree skirt and stocking loaded with more bath and body goodies!! I cannot tell you how much I love this tree skirt!! It fits perfect with our main tree. I just put it out in the front room to get a better pic of it. And I love the stocking because my stocking was the only one that wasn't hand made! Now they all are!  The B&B things are a lotion stick (how cool is that??) samples of lip balm made with honey as well as a lotion made with honey and a little thing called a Knit stick. It's lotion for your hands after knitting! Also boo boo balm a natural antiseptic and some body powder. All natural stuff and it smells amazing!

day 1

A QUILT!!! Oh you have no idea how much I love quilts, and even more because this was made for me! And it is gorgeous! I love everything about it. It's warm and made of awesome! It's large too! My son is 5'9" and my 7 ft tree is behind him!

1boy1girl1kitty2 you have entirely spoiled me beyond my wildest imagination! This has been the most amazing swap and so worth the wait (evil evil post office!)

13  Re: Fiber Friday Oct 2, 2009 in Spinning: Completed Projects by Gomerriffic on: October 02, 2009 10:09:51 AM
Okay I don't get to post often/am intimidated by all of the wondrous fibers and skilled spinners represented here but I'm pretty proud of these.

First one I'm particularly proud of. No name. It was for a friend. 1lb (minus a mini sample skein) of alpaca straight off the animal! I hand carded every bit. It's spun dirty so she can use whatever wash she'd like. 1470 yards spun at about a bulky weight. (8wpi)

The second one I have is just some Sheep Shed mill ends in brown that I dyed with green easter egg color during easter. It looks just like one of those Ande's mint candies so I call this one MMMmint. I have no idea of the yardage because I've still got another bunch to spin but I like it. It's sort of self striping. It's probably about dk weight.

p.s. LOVE the sock yarn and glad that there are people who love us newbie spinners Cheesy

14  my DD's first embroidery project in Needlework: Completed Projects by Gomerriffic on: June 10, 2009 02:27:02 PM
I was just so proud that I had to share! To date every craft I've tried to teach her doesn't interest her. She can do them but usually doesn't finish. She worked for a couple hours last night (and didn't want to go to bed) and then a couple hours today to finish it.

I received my package from deadbathducky! It was funny because mine was in as hers went out. We even filled out our customs label the same!

A fabric package

Some AWESOME vintage patterns. I love them all!

She also sent me a magic yarn ball but I forgot to take a pic of the whole thing. I practically started unwinding it with my teeth while driving home!  Shocked

The little blue guy was hiding in the middle. It was kind of a Robin Hood themed ball and I loved it!

everything in the ball

A spoon made from a friend of hers from Budapest (which is where Robin Hood is filmed!)

My own Robin Hood necklace so I can now say "We ARE Robin HOOD!"

Aside from that there is a tiny jar of whimseys chocolates, coffee candies a cute little bracelet and a cake ring as well as a japanese pin from the Japan festival a chocolate book with recpies and quotes.

It was awesome thanks so much!

Here is my package from jloveg. We talked about what to make a little and she sent me this apron, water bottle holder and even a ribbon for my hair that matches my apron! Also some toffee covered sunflower seeds which are, sadly just a memory!

Thanks so much for all the well wishes. She is so adorable.

Here are the wonderful goodies Littlebiskit sent to me as promised!

The coolest plaque! It's in elvish, it says "speak friend and enter" I tried to convince little to give me one she made for Celticgoddess so she made me my own.

A "waterskin" for future Ren Faire visits! And it's personalized!

Two crystal glasses with love in elvish. They're etched into it. they look really great in person. I stuffed yarn in there to hopefully show you little's handiwork!

A jar full of random goodies!! There were so many awesome things in there, I love each bit.

But these are probably my favorites!

Last but not least, yarn! I love making toys and these are the yarns that I use for them. Perfect!

Everything was awesome! Thanks again Little

Here are just a couple more pictures of the food kish sent, specifically the Christmas cake (just like you asked kish!) We have about 40 more pics of the dolls enjoying each and every piece of food, and close ups! LOL Most are a bit blurry since my DD HAD to take the photos herself (minus the cake shot) so I'll spare you. But she had fun and spent an hour fixing "lighting" and photographing each individual piece! Excuse the barren house. She stripped the living room for the shot and we're in the process of "renovation".

I received another great package! I'm hoping to convince the hubby to get me batteries tonight.

Sewknitter sent me a jar of vintage buttons, the MOTHER of all button necklaces! (I do have a small obsession with buttons!)  some lovely soap, two skeins of handspun, 3 magnets, a cool star ornament, a carved owl stamp and 3 other stamps for ATCing a bunc of Ephemera and candy  a note pad and a paper crinkler, a journal, a tatted bracelet with beads AND a piece of altered Art which is fabulous an matches my house perfectly! It's all quite beautiful and awesome!

Edit: This is only some of it! Hubby promised to get me batteries tomorrow so I'll have more pics of the stuff Kishcrafts and sewknitter sent me!
