that is amazing! how did you get that texture? is it some kind of special stitch?

i just had a brainstorm...to make the cowl from the first SNB's "cowl & howl", only with lace weight yarn on size 11's. probably in stockinette st, too...does this sound crazy? any ideas/opinions? maybe with a big cable up the front too............

i don't know if this helps any, but i saw the movie and was very fascinated by the hat through the whole thing. i noticed the edge of it was definitely selvedged and it looked like an extremely tiny gauge, like the way a tshirt is, obviously implying it hadn't been hand knitted. i would assume it was done flat and stitched up, there seemed to be a jog.
