11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Create-A-Creature Swap? on: May 25, 2006 11:23:28 PM
A 'horned' toad, a winged zebra, a cuddly pink gargoyle...wouldn't it be fun to make up your own unconventional and original creature? The swap could consist of a drawing, a plushie/doll, a purse/article of clothing with the creature pic on it, pretty much anything...does this sound interesting to anyone?

I think options would be:
ATC, one large craft and one small craft
ATC, one medium craft and two small crafts
(Or partners can work it out between themselves--as long as their will be an even swap)
Large meaning not necessarily size, but careful time spent in crafting it.

It will probably be left up to partners to decide whether they want themselves or their partner to  craft their animal, and it is not limited to one animal.

EDIT: I can organize this near the end of this month, so keep an eye out for it!

Signups will be as soon as I get feedback from the Mushroom Swap. Everyone's sent out, so as soon as we start recieving and getting feedback (near end of June, next week and a half) I'll throw this out there! YAY!

12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Simple Green&Purple net necklace (now with tutorial!) on: January 12, 2006 09:36:42 PM

I made this over Xmas break, first project post on this site, but I love it! I've made quite a few things, but this is the only thing I have a pic of at the moment. Let me know what you think, or if you have questions. It's pretty basic, but I needed something green.

There's one and a half layers to this; the dangly things over each diamond shape are on their own, not attached to the main body, so if they appear to be at funny angles, you're right, they are!

Here's how to make it. Ask if something is unclear, I'm sure there's bound to be. Undecided
