1  UNITED STATES / North Carolina / Boone NC / Watauga County on: February 05, 2008 06:50:56 AM
I'm looking for crafty people in the Boone / Watauga county area.  I've been up here for 2 1/2 years at App, but am still not really familiar with all the neat junk/thrift shops, flea markets, art fests and things like that up here.

So . . . anybody out there?  lol
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Four bracelets and a necklace on: August 05, 2006 07:44:12 PM
Hello all!  This is my first post in the jewelry boards, as I'm fairly new to jewelry making.  I really love it, and would like to start getting good so I can sell some things (not necessarily to make a lot of extra money, but it would be nice to keep being able to afford supplies, haha).  Below are four bracelets and a necklace I've recently made.  I would appreciate any sort of comments or constructive criticism you are willing to give.  You can even call them ugly if you tell me why, haha Smiley

Four bracelets.  All were made from India Glass beads strung on 24 gauge silver tone beading wire.  They all close with a silver tone lobster claw clasp.  #4 also has some Dirty White Disc beads, and #1, #2, and #4 have a few seed beads as well.  They also all have some spacer beads for a more finished look.

This necklace is made from silver tone chain, and features a silver tone lobster claw clasp.  The focal point is a faux drop pearl that was salvaged from an old pair of vintage clip-ons.  Around it are white and brown India Glass beads, strung on 24 gauge beading wire and attached with silver tone jump rings.  I really like this necklace Smiley

And here it is on me...

(My shirt was in the way.  Please disregard the very minor top/side boob.)

Thanks for looking! Cheesy
