I cant remember what colorway of Noro i used but i really like them!

53  Hardware Bonanza a Unique Flagging tape Purse (lots of photos) in CHALLENGE 5 ENTRIES by candikaneiscrafty on: August 22, 2005 10:04:21 AM
I created this purse a few months back for fun. i got my idea in the hardware store where i also collected all my materials.. i made it out of flagging tape which is normally used on construction sites to mark where something important is or should got (like a pipe). i knit this on US size 15 needles.
oh and i decided to call it hardware bonanza because it is made up of hardware parts and things of that sort.

now if you ever find the need to knit flagging tape i have one word of caution..it kind of smells funny and after a while of knitting on it i would start getting a head ache and stop...just so you know...

I hope you all like my purse
thanks for looking

55  I Love My Wasabi in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by candikaneiscrafty on: July 29, 2005 06:58:47 PM
I recently 'screen printed' a top using this tutorial http://www.livejournal.com/community/craftgrrl/3674467.html
this was my first attempt at any kind of screen printing and i think it turned out well

here is a bad picture of the shirt on  (sorry it is crooked i didn't feel like fixing it  Undecided)here is a better full view of it on the floor

close up of the text it says i love my wasabi (and the only smuge on the whole thing..grr...)

close up of the rabbit

the shirt says i love my wasabi because my rabbits name is wasabi and the rabbit is my attempt to replicate her.
i am thinking of adding in grey spots on the rabbit like my actual rabbit and add some coloring on the sushi but i am not sure if i should any suggestions will be greatly appricated!

56  Sushi Bracelet..first attempt at a bracelet (like this) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by candikaneiscrafty on: July 25, 2005 05:29:58 PM
well recently i finished making my first bracelet that wasn't little kid style (stringing plastic beads on some cheap string) for my first attempt i think it came out okay but i learned what to do next time to make it sit on the arm better and not poke (needless to say i can't really wear this because of the pain factor Sad) so here it is

this is as close as my digital would get at this angle..so one to the next one

on my wrist you can see some of the sushi better

i hope you all like it and any constructive criticism is welcome!
