I've posted a few times on here, and fellow craftsters are so helpful and friendly, so I thought I would ask your opinions again.
For those that haven't seen me around before, my name is Belinda and I run a website called happy whale productions - http://freewebs.com/happywhaleproductions
. I sell small, handmade stuffie whales in a variety of colours, from my home in New Zealand.
I have had an amount of international customers, and they have commented on how cheap the whales seem to be. Because international shipping is $4 USD, I like to keep my prices down. The whales are currently $8USD. However, I have also had some people say this is too low - it makes it seem like the whales are inferior products.
I'm in a bit of a muddle, as I fear that putting my prices up furthur will decrease sales. I have only sold one since the price went up (used to be $6, but after fees it began to get a bit pointless..) and I'm scared no one else will want to buy them - but I don't want people thinking they aren't made well!
I put a lot of effort into these whales, so I was just wondering some opinions on what you HONESTLY think they are worth - and whether this is too high or too low?
