1  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Best Sources for Vegan Fibers? on: March 26, 2008 08:27:15 PM
Hello spinners!

Where does everyone buy their vegan spinning fibers?  I've spun lots of wool, but now I'm looking to get into bamboo, soysilk, cotton, and whatever else is out there!  Any tips about the best places to get these fibers (dyed or undyed) would be appreciated!
2  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / new spinner (yay!) with a question on: December 29, 2006 12:36:48 AM
So I spun for the first time ever today on the drop spindle I got for christmas, and I'm super excited.  I have one question, though - what do you do when you get to the end of your spinning?  I spun an ounce or so of fiber that came with my spindle, but now that I'm at the end how do I stop it from untwisting?  I pinned the end of my yarn to the yarn already on the spindle to keep it from undoing itself right now, but is there a better way to keep it from untwisting?
