Howdy everyone! I recently moved into a new apartment with my newlywed hubby, and I just cannot STAND this plain, icky apartment that we have! >_<;; I'm sure some of you have been in the same boat as me, so, I hope that someone can offer me a bit of advice.

I plan to make the entire apartment spectacular, in time, but I'm going to start with the bathroom first!

Now. There's a little problem that I've run into with this bathroom. The sink, tub, and floor are all fairly unattractive at the moment. I think with a bit of craftiness and elbow grease, however, that I can make it just dandy. ^^

Since it's an apartment, I can't do much in terms of painting or re-tiling/carpeting...sooo, I have to work with what I have! I'm just at this road block where I can't think of a theme to match the elements that I cannot change.

I do not have a digital camera, so, I'll have to explain a bit about the  bathroom. It's tiny, first of all. :p Haha.

A) The sink counter is this light sage green, "marble" color. Yay for fake marble! The sink itself is just solid, sage green.

B) The tub is the same color as the sink.

C) The walls around the tub and shower area are a slightly darker sage green, but have splotches of white in them, and are in a tile format.

D) The floor is a fairly cheap sort of "tile" flooring. It's in large squares. The colors in each square are a forest green "marble" sort of thing, and dark/light red. It's a little strange. o.o

E) Something that I found while looking closely at the toilet and sink counter cabinet is that they both appear to be white, but are actually the faded sage green color >.>;.

F) So, the main colors in my bathroom are: white, sage green, reds.

G) Oh! The walls are white...of course.

I'm basically just looking for ideas on the theme here, so, if anyone has any ideas, I'm up for anything! Thanks!

Oh, you are such a sweetie. It's so great to hear people wanting to help someone like your friend's grandpa.

I think that a bake sale would be an excellent idea! I'm not sure what your school is like, so I can't offer too much advice in how you could go about selling your stuff; however, I know that teachers are usually always willing to buy stuff for kids in need (or kids doing stuff for others in need!). And, hey, who doesn't like brownies and cookies and such?!

What sorts of crafts can you and your friends do? I'm sure that there's something that you can come up that you could also make to try to sell. Post back with what sorts of skills/resources you have!

Your story really touches a place in my heart, and I hope that you and your friends can do all that you wish to do for him!

If not, where did you get it? And do you have any idea how is was construced? Like, are the white pillars wood, etc?
