5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Recent Baby quilts on: June 21, 2006 08:39:05 AM
I cut out little squares and sewed them on in an argyle pattern (I was short on one color - so I had to make something up)
If you do just straight squares with an X and no fancy stitching you could do one in about 5 hours start to finish. It takes me about 8 hrs or so with the decorative stitching. The one with the different sized pieces is a different story. I still haven't fighured out an efficient way to do those.
Thanks for the compliments everyone. I've been thinking about selling them at our farmer's market. How much do you think I should ask? (keep in mind where I live we have TWO high-end baby stores, with $150.00 baby jeans and such)
thanks!

here's a couple of rag quilts I've made for friends. One was for a boy and one for a girl.
Thanks for looking! Smiley

that's a great quilt! I make these for all my friends when they have a baby and everyone loves them. Apparently, babies love to touch the frayed edges. good job, very cute.
