1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Original James Dean Stencil on: September 01, 2005 08:15:36 PM
For my wonderful friend Maddie. Smiley

Don't mind the dark part. My cat knocked over a glass of water.

My desk just for crafting. I'm such a slob. Hahaha. Cheesy
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Wall decorations. on: August 19, 2005 12:39:45 PM
These aren't really all that crafty, or neat, but I love them.
I made two collages. One on half a piece of posterboard of me and my boy, and one of all of my friends. I decided to do my friends because we recently all had to part ways, since they are all college bound, and I'm only a senior in high school. Sad

Jarrett and I. I know the big picture of us is completely horrible (seeing as we were both crying just before, and we cried afterwards) but it was the last picture we took together, and I love it anyway.

Our nicknames for each other, Kimchi Pancake (I'm korean), and Burrito (he's salvadorian).

The other one is the size of a standard poster. I might add something, but I'm scared of ruining it, so I probably wont..

Maddie & I. The beautiful wife thing was from when we decided that if we were ever lesbians, we'd get married.

The film strip is probably my favorite part of this one. These pictures are from one of the One Act Plays we put on called Loonies and Snatchers.

My walls are looking a lot nicer now... with RENT, my collages, Justin Timberlake, and AFI. Wink
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Me and my boy... in doll form. on: August 15, 2005 04:56:12 PM
My boy is leaving me for UNC on Thursday to major in musical theater. So we decided to make a little something for each other...

fabric, yarn, fabric paint, needle & thread, hot glue, googly eyes, denim, rhinestones, poly fil, and two hours of poking ourselves with needles attempting to sew =

ME:

I recently dyed my hair purple/pink, but I haven't taken pictures yet. This is the most recent I have.

It's me! Complete with zebra purse, alkaline trio t-shirt, crazy hair, star earrings, bright make-up, my necklaces, black pants, and yellow tinted fabric [cause I'm Korean. Smiley].

JARRETT:

Mini Jarrett! Complete with wooshy black hair, denim pants and matching denim jacket, scruffelies (facial hair), googly eyes, white belt, red shirt, black tie, eyebrow/ear piercings, and brown tinted fabric (he's Salvadorian ;])

We both made ourselves for each other.

The idea came about when he saw a similar doll I made of the wonderful and very sexy Jade Puget of AFI for my friend Maddie when she got cancer. I have no pictures, though. Sad

And just 'cause... some old pictures of us:

Oh, I'm going to miss him. Sad
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / The Used / Requiem for a Dream Stenciled Shirts on: August 11, 2005 07:33:39 PM
A little something for my friend's Steve's 18th Birthday tomorrow.

It's also something to go along with the ticket I bought for him to see The Used on Saturday. Smiley
I made the stencil myself.

I also made this for myself awhile ago. It's one of my favorite books/movies!

If you see a white part darker than the rest, thats just a piece of freezer paper i forgot to peel off. It's gone now.

Me wearing it. Don't mind my weird face though. I'm not quite sure what it's doing.

I also made this stencil.

 Cheesy
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Wicked multi-layer. on: August 02, 2005 01:08:35 AM
I don't think you're ready for this jelly

Wicked.

Yeah, there was a black blob, but I took care of that.

Me modeling it! No one wants to see my 2 A.M face.

I'm quite proud of it.

For a friend who is always looking at himself in the mirror.

So when he looks at himself in the mirror, it'll say...

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Things to make that will go with my friend's new car... on: July 22, 2005 03:18:48 PM
I asked my friend Steve what he wants for his birthday, and he said something to go in his car he's going to be getting soon.

And since he has so many CD's in the car he has now that he has no place to put, I was thinking of making a CD holder that goes on his visor with some cool stencil on it or something.
Anyone know how I would go about doing this?

Or maybe I could make a seat cover with a cool stencil of his favorite bands on it.
Anyone know how I could do that?

Or anyone have any other ideas of what I could do?
Suggestions and how to's would be awesome.
8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Christina Aguilera on canvas on: July 19, 2005 03:27:36 PM
I apologize for the size of the pictures, i felt i needed to keep the pictures normal size to keep it from looking distorted.

It looks kind of weird because a lot of the touch up paint was still wet.

It's for my best friend's 18th birthday. He needs something to decorate his dorm room when he goes to UNC this autumn, and he loves Christina Aguilera, and green. The parts that are not the background that are green are glitter. I also made the stencils myself. Smiley

Two down, one more to go!
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / I need ideas for my best friend's first birthday... on: July 15, 2005 02:53:24 AM
Well, ok, it isn't his FIRST birthday, but it'll be his first celebrated birthday (his family are jahovah's witnesses), and he's also turning 18. Since it is his first birthday, we want to make up for all of his past birthdays and make it spectacular.
He's gay, so we're thinking of a sort of bachelorette theme. And we're all huge Rocky Horror fans so we want to incorporate that too. We want to make a penis shaped cake. But... we're not exactly sure how to go about this. We are trying to stretch our money out as much as possible, so we want to do this without buying any special pans. Suggestions?
Any ideas for games/entertainment (we're getting a stripper!) would be awesome.

thanks in advance!
10  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / I'm planning on making my first quilt and I have a question... on: July 15, 2005 02:46:10 AM
I'm making it for my best friend who is leaving me for UNC to major in musical theater.
So I want to make him a quilt, and on each square, have a different musical that he's starred in, or that he likes. I'm also going to leave a square with a personal note from moi. Smiley
Anyhow, I've browsed through here, and I get how to make the backing, and how to stitch the squares together, but other than those two things, are there other steps I need to be aware of? (other than sewing the two pieces together... haha) Like, is it necessary to add a border?

Thanks for your help!
