2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: The Maxi Post of Maxi Dresses! on: March 16, 2010 12:38:43 PM
I love it, too! So hooray for thread necromancy.

I've been hunting for something to inspire me to pick a default neckline/strap type, and I think the wide shoulder v-neck might be what I want now.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Tree of Sea Life on: June 29, 2009 11:13:15 AM
that's a tree I'd LOVE to relax in the shade of!
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Six ACT speed watercolors on: February 19, 2009 07:17:58 AM
I did these as warmups last night, even though they were the last things I did before bed.

(I don't know why the scan is so cropped. I'll get a better one later today, but, for now, I kinda like the oddly trimmed version.)

I timed myself and tried to spend just 20 minutes on each of them, but usually did some touching up after that 20 minutes was up. Also, I didn't do any pencil sketches, just went straight to ink and watercolor, trying out new techniques and trying to push my style some.

The pinup chick is the exception to both of those guidelines. I did a little penciling for the basic anatomy, and spent probably 40 minutes on her from start to finish.

What do you think, should I stick with them?  Wink Cheesy
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Finished hubby's (Dark) Jedi sweater! on: April 28, 2007 01:40:57 PM
total hotness. I'll stay out of the jedi/not argument, but for some reason the side ribbing strikes me as an especially nice touch.

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: new to the forum and this is what I do.... : ) on: April 28, 2007 01:29:19 PM
Dang, that is really neat. You've got it all. Color, line control, concept, shading, texture...

I'm very much impressed, and hope we get to see more of your work!
7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: mixed clay!! on: April 28, 2007 01:22:48 PM
Those first two really look good enough to eat.

But the last, while not appetizing in the food-sense, is very beautiful.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: hula hoop dress on: April 28, 2007 10:26:06 AM
Cool! it's got a really interesting silhouette.

The project sounds like a Project Runway assignment.
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Cheating Whore on: April 28, 2007 10:23:05 AM
That's pretty dang professional looking. Great job!

Is the A a stencil or appliqu?
10  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: I've joined the cult! Oh, I mean...the club! *cough* on: April 28, 2007 10:18:49 AM
Holy wow! That's incredible. Are you sure this is your first time spinning? You make it look easy. As if even I could pull it off! The Fern Gully skein is beautiful.
