I'm in total agreement that we need more non-cutesy supplies. I'm working on a book with my pictures from DragonCon, and for some reason I just don't think pink butterflies and pretty flowers go with pics of people with mohawks and tattoos doing crazy stuff when we're drunk.
Fortunately, I'm on tech staff and for years we've been calling ourselves the Techops Pirates (I don't know why it started) and pirate stickers are pretty easy to find. I've also been printing my own pirate-themed paper I made in Photoshop, starting with a clipart image of a skull and crossed swords and just making a pattern out of it. I don't have a 12x12 printer, so I've been using smaller pieces as scraps/embellishments on the page. So far I like how it's turning out. It's here if you want to see it:http://www.mindspring.com/~designbyluna/scrapbooks/dragoncon/

Oh, I recently found some paper at Target that, while floral, uses darker colors and has a more vintage feel. It's by Marcella K. and the paper pack is called "Sheri's Garden."
