What about scanning and printing, or color-copying images from comic books or gaming books and cutting them out for your own stickers?

Thanks Teeisme and MoxZ.  The wings are just burgandy tissue paper glued to cardstock and then cut out.  I think for my next card I'll do one for the self portrait thread.

Thanks.  I've been on a purple and gold kick for a while.  No, I didn't seal it, but that's just for the hand towel so it doesn't get very wet.  But the paper is starting to look a little worn from friction, so I think I'll add another layer of paper and seal it with acryllic spray.  Good idea!

Thanks! The patterned papers are from the packaging of a paper pack I bought for scrapbooking.  The front of the package has little miniature examples of the paper so you know what's in it before you buy it, and I saved it, because, well I thought I might use it for something, and voila!

Hi, I've never made an ATC before but it looked like so much fun, so I made one. I have a friend who moved away and I'm going to try to get her to start making them too so we can trade.

Thanks Aztma! It makes me smile every time I walk past.

Thanks, doomcandy. Where can I see your LO's?  I'm not a myspace member so if that's where they are I don't think I could see them.

Thanks, Fun4Bambi and Bluevase! It was really easy too.  I just used a hot glue gun.

I guess this is the right place for this.  The people who did the wallpapering in my apartment did a crap job, so I had to do some decorating of my towel bar to hide their mistakes. I think it turned out really pretty.

I added braided trim to hide where the paper was all jagged, and some tassels that were actually Christmas ornaments!

I'm in total agreement that we need more non-cutesy supplies.  I'm working on a book with my pictures from DragonCon, and for some reason I just don't think pink butterflies and pretty flowers go with pics of people with mohawks and tattoos doing crazy stuff when we're drunk.

Fortunately, I'm on tech staff and for years we've been calling ourselves the Techops Pirates (I don't know why it started) and pirate stickers are pretty easy to find.  I've also been printing my own pirate-themed paper I made in Photoshop, starting with a clipart image of a skull and crossed swords and just making a pile of flesh out of it.  I don't have a 12x12 printer, so I've been using smaller pieces as scraps/embellishments on the page.  So far I like how it's turning out.  It's here if you want to see it:

Page 5 has mild adult content.

Oh, I recently found some paper at Target that, while floral, uses darker colors and has a more vintage feel.  It's by Marcella K. and the paper pack is called "Sheri's Garden."
