Wow, I've never done a swap before, but I'd be interested to. Not really sure what it involves, but it sounds neat anyway. I guess it'd be like swaping a pagan craft/ bunch of pagan stuff with other people. I'd love to give it a try. (I'm out of the broom closet, btw) Er, I wouldn't be able to do it until mid-August.

If you're talking about those giant zephyrhills bottles, I've got a great hallowe'en costume. when all the labels are off, cut off the bottom and cut a rectangle out, just enough to show your face. The rest of the costume is a cheap white jumpsuit (paint stores have them, thats where I got mine). Cover the front with assorted colourful knobs and buttons (like those caps for loose electric wires), and on the back, attach a shoebox (spraypainted silver, with more knobs and buttons). Have a hose coming from the box, and attaching to the spout thing at the top of your waterjug. Add big old silvery boots, and Voila! Spaceman! My parents did this one, and they looked hilarious (in a good way, of course). I'll try to get pics up as soon as I find them.

PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Mike's 6-pack purse [first project!]

Yay, The Wallaby's first project!! A purse from a cardboard Mike's Hard Lemonade 6-pack container. I'm sure it's been done before, but I'm proud anyway. Took me maybe 5 hours total, cause I sewed by hand, and was very lazy.
The front, looks the same as the back

The sides look the same too

And the worst photo, erm, the strap. From yellow and black electrical tape.

I couldn't get a decent picture of the inside, but its lined with velvet-y black fabric. I tried spraying the outside for waterproofing, but ended up using packaging tape. Mostly hot-glued, except the sides. Pretty messy, but I'm still very proud! Oh, and I plan to put bottlecaps on the bottom for feet, as soon as I have enough.

OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Faerie party

Ooh, fay party, what a lucky girl! Make sure to have plenty of ribbons, in pastel colours. Have the children write birthday wishes on a length of ribbon,, and tie their ribbons onto one of those... I don't know what they're called, but they're big wire circles found in craft stores, I think for cross stitch (?), then have the birthday girl wear it on her head durring presents and cake. If you make fabric goodie bags, tie small bells to the ends of pullstrings, and fill them with pixie sticks and comtainers of bubblestuff. The only other thing I can think of is a faerie house, but thats not a birthday thing. (first post )
