21  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / need hlep with stitches on: July 03, 2006 11:58:07 PM
Hi. I am crocheting a water bottle bag. I started from the bottom with a ring that I learned here http://www.crochetme.com/Dec_Jan_0405/reads_round.html
I increased till I had 40 sts. Then I sc a couple of rounds and started a mesh stitch that I found in Happy Hooker. Anyhow because the stitch calls for chain 5, I have way more stitches than I started out with. I want to finish the Water bottle carrier with sc like I started it. I don't know how to go from mesh stitch back to sc.  Any help would be great. Thanks.
22  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / need help with sweater on: June 02, 2006 06:55:34 PM
Hi. I found this cute sweater that I need help trying to figure out. I really like the shape of it but I am a new crocheter and have never made a sweater. Here is a link to the photo http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/gnudtzmann/detail?.dir=5264&.dnm=6538re2.jpg
How would I go about making something like this? Can anyone tell me what stitch it is? Would it be crocheted in the round or in separate pieces? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
23  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Shawls on: May 24, 2006 09:48:11 PM
Hi. I mostly knit but am looking to crochet a shawl. I found these 2 patterns
http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/lffunt/allshawl.htm
http://www.needlemethat.com/scallopshaw.htm
Has anyone made either one of them? I can't see the pattern close up so I'm not sure which I like better. I guess I mostly like the scalloped edges on both.  If anyone has knit either one I would really like to see pictures of it. Thanks.

25  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Turkish Slippers question on: April 17, 2006 10:19:46 AM
Hi. Does anyone know if the Turkish Slippers from Simple Crochet are the same as the Beaded Ballet Slippers from the crochet issue(Jan 2005) of Interweave Knits? The pictures look very similar and I think they are both by the same person. I have the Interweave mag but not the Simple Crochet book. Thanks.

27  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / Halloween patterns on: September 30, 2005 10:06:19 AM
Hi. My daughter wants to be a witch for Halloween. I found an old pattern I like made by Simplicity. How is Simplicity for costumes? It's pattern #5937 at this link.
http://www.a1craftpatterns.com/simcost.htm You'll have to scroll down quite a bit. I like the black/pink dress. Add a witch hat and it would be very cute. Does anyone know how old this pattern is? This is the only link I could find to this pattern. I'm pretty new to sewing. How easy are these types of patterns? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

29  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / looking to recon a tshirt on: July 21, 2005 05:45:56 PM
Hi. I have a lot (& I mean A LOT) of XL tshirts. I used most of them when I was pregnant. Well, I wear a medium. I need to resize a bunch of shirts. I want them to still be tshirt style- only smaller. Is there is tutorial here somewhere for this? Thanks.
