Oh Yay!
I'm so glad to get such awesome response to the bag...I was worried.

did you do the little eyes and the trees?? that is so cute!!! i love the color!

hehe...no actually the trees and eyes are a great fabric I had left over from halloween but I LOVE it so much and it spoke to me when I was thinkging about what to do with this bag. so it's the fabric glued onto the front of the bag and I painted hte stripes to match. then I painted the handle and sides as well...it used to be white. I added the black rose trim and the charms that I made to match the fabric and voila! a finished bag.

rackycoo-I would carry it around halloween too!

modpodge-hopfully my partner is just stressed out with finals (as I am) and has been too super busy and will come around soon.  Wink

Yay thanks seaofstars and Nutella for the awesome comments! It's so nice to hear good things about my illustrations. It's what I love doing-and what I'm in school for.

I make the doll first and then use graphics paper that is thick enough with  withstand lots of pressure and erasing and such over top of it to design the outfits over top. the paper is very see-through so it's really easy to use. then I photo copy/print the pages and watercolor them. it's a fun process. I made japanese gothic lolita ones for the subculture swap but no one ever saw them cause my partner was a flaker and never showed them. if I can find pics of those I'll post em too. I'm slightly obsessed with paperdolls actually. I have collected them since I was 7!

ok-so USPS.COM says "  Label/Receipt Number: 0305 1720 0002 3116 XXXX
Status: Delivered Your item was delivered at 4:22 pm on December 05, 2005 in BEAR, DE XXXXX."

and since I haven't heard from my partner I am going to go ahead and post pics of what I sent to her. I figure in a week she must have seen it!

I don't have pics of the before cause I was so excited to start that I just started painting away and then remembered I should have taken pics. I hope my partner likes what I did to her bag but I'm pretty nervous about that since she hasn't responded to my PM's about receiving it. what if she hates it and doesn't want to hurt my feelings? Undecided

it is rather "different" hehe.

I didn't do anything to the inside...I couldn't really think of how to change the lining...anyway...here it is. Grin

27  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Nightmare Before Christmas Swap - Round 2 on: December 10, 2005 06:35:23 PM
weird...I hadn't noticed that theorganizer was missing. hmmmmm....maybe you should PM a MOD...not sure what alse to tell you though if the organizer really is flaking on the whole swap then someone else is going to have to take over and get in tough with your swap partner or organize a swap angel for you.

that sucks that niether one of them are responding.  Sad

let me know if you need any help with anything...or to help find a swap angel.

gingerquilts and modgepodge! those bags are both so awesome!

modge-wow and I glad to see that handle go! it really was a mess wasn't it? I wish I could see the fabric better though...it has traditional tattoo flash designs on it? I see sacred hearts in the pic i think.

ginger-I love the front of that bag! with the new clasp...I really like the new clasp!
