1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Dreadlock Hair Oil Recipe on: April 23, 2004 07:57:24 AM
I've had my 'locks for over 8 years.  Here is a simple recipe for a hair oil that will both nourish and stimulate the growth of your hair.

Ingredients:

8-12 oz od cold pressed olive oil
4 Tbsp sage
2 Tbsp rosemary
2 - 6 drops of your favorite essential or fragrance oil

Combine sage, rosemary and olive oil in a bottle or jar that can be sealed.  Let steep for two weeks.  Strain herbs from olive oil add fragrance and voila!

Use the olive oil herb infusion on hair and scalp as needed.

If you prefer a pomade  use 1/2 olive oil and 1/2 shea butter.

You can make this mixture for under 5 bucks!
