Hi Guys,

Saturnine (Theatre Girl) here!!!  Ha!!!!!  OY, thanks so much for the PM!  I've been out of the loop lately.  I won't be able to make this one.  I'm overwhelmed at the moment with school and 2 jobs.  Not much time left for the crafty things I so love, alas.

I'll be eagerly watching for pics . . . . . . . .

Peace, love, and crafts!

RM:  Your arms don't look fat, 'CUZ THEY AREN'T!!!  You're very pretty and so is your little girl!  (Even if you think you look like a frog in that one pic, which I must emphatically state you do not, I happen to like frogs.)

GG:  I don't know if you heard me raving about your matchbox creations, but they were absolutely stunning.

OY:  I think I'm wearing earrings you made today (the blue and white china-looking beaded ones).  I've gotten several compliments on them at work.

KR and KR9's mom:  So sorry you got so lost, but so glad you came.

I'm considering making enough ornaments to give everybody for the swap.  Feelin' slightly guilty about being so grabby at the meet up, seeing as how I didn't contribute anything!!!  The only reason I'm not feeling MORE guilty is 'cuz I am lovin' the stuff!!!

Penciling in December 9th,
Kristi

Hey all! Saturnine here. I had a great time, despite the fact that I came late and had to leave early. Undecided Thank you to everyone for your generosity and kindness. Not to mention how silly and fun you guys are. I laughed so much! Love, love, love the GORGEOUS earrings from fractalash, jshires, and OY and the sweet felted cherries from RM. You guys are talented! Next time I will definitely get clued into this sooner and will bring something to share.

Can't wait for the next meet up. Very impressed with the variety of crafts represented and the fact that you are all so open and eager to share your knowledge. Thanks again Grin

5  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Re: best stitch for letters? on: May 06, 2006 03:48:32 PM
I just did a t-shirt with 1-inch or so lettering.  I used split stitch with all six strands.  For me, the trick to stitching curves is to put "english" on it.  You know, like pool.  As you're coming up through the bottom of the fabric, you aim the needle the way you want it to go.  This really works for me.  By the way, though, your letters are beautiful just the way you did them!!!

NOW I GET IT!!!  Thank you, thank you, thank you for the excellent tute!

Hey there,

I've been casually looking for a FW group to craft up with.  I don't knit, but last year my sister turned me on to embroidery and Sublime Stitching and now I'm an addict.  I also enjoy papercrafts, but they're not so portable.

I'm not aware of the "SnB scandal."  Can't you or do you call yourselves an SnB anyway, just not on Yahoo?  I see you meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at Panera.  Perhaps on March 7th, I'll stop by with my floss and hoops and look for the yarn and needles!
