1  Yoga mat bag! in Knitting: Completed Projects by knusperflakes on: August 31, 2008 01:33:21 PM
Hi all, this is my first time posting a finished knitting project here, even though I've completed many more before now.

My mom does yoga, but doesn't have a bag to carry her mat in.  I found a pattern for one in Knit.1 (Spring 2007).  The chevron pattern was super easy to memorize, and it knitted it up faster than I expected.  Pictures and stats below.
Needles: size 3 cascade bamboo straight needles
Yarn: Cascade Heritage- light blue (colorway no. 5602)
Mountain Colors Bearfoot- navy blue (don't know colorway)
Zitron Trekking Pro Natura- creme/off white (colorway no. 1501)
Noro Kureyon- sock weight (colorway no. s95)
The bag: 14" in diameter, 26" in length

 I mean, c'mon, Roy & Andy?!?
So I found a pair of blank canvas at the local Salvation Army, picked out some pictures, had a lot of patience with the stencils.. and voila!

The pictures were Head- Red and Yellow and Explosion
Sealed with Mod Podge.

3  Leopard print hoodie! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by knusperflakes on: May 01, 2006 07:03:04 PM
Here's to my first project post!
Anyways, I sewed my very own hoodie together, I'm so proud of it, especially the zipper, ha! it's the first one I've ever put in, and honestly, they seemed too scary! It took me forever to find the right print style, I was really picky, and managed to finad this at Wal-mart.. not my most favorite store. haha, here's the result of my labors...

(please excuse my silly looking mouth and gross hair! I had track practice, and mom took the picture at a silly moment)

and the back...
