So... I finally finished nursing school. Graduated yesterday... and what do I spend my first free day doing, but crafting!!! It was soooo nice to be able to relax and create something to improve my holiday spirit around my apartment. So... I just finished making a wreath for the door of my apartment.... thought I would share. Comments/criticism appreciated. Hope everyone is staying warm!! On to the pictures....

Today I helped in throwing one of my best friend's bridal showers... and I brought the yum yums so I thought I'd share the overall product


On top... a basket of sunflowers for the bride-to-be to cut (or as it ended up simply to take home and share with her man)

Seems that everyone enjoyed the treats... and I'm glad everything came together in the end.

So... I am a bridesmaid in a wedding that is happening in November... and I am trying to work  with three other girls to plan a shower... don't really want to get into that because I am a bit frustrated with the whole thing.. but I am trying to enjoy the craftiness that I CAN contribute. I am doing the cake/desserts for the shower. I have made cupcakes (3 different flavors: Cappuchino chocolate chip, Harvey wallbanger, and chocolate almond). I am making a small cake for the bride-to-be to cut.. which will sit atop this:


I used satin ribbon and fabric to cover it...


and overall I think it looks fairly nice.


I am covering the cupcakes with fondant sunflowers (which I don't have pictures of yet), and the cake will sit on the top tier frosted like a basket containing sunflowers...

I saw these tiles while wandering the aisles at home depot and knew I had to have them...

So I decided they would work well for a mirror in the living room.

So... this has been adorning the window in my bathroom for a while now.. but I have been nervous about making my own post (and just plain busy) but I thought I would share...

It really needs to be wider but I haven't gotten a chance to add more to it...
