I can do this!!!!! When I first learned how to purl I was soooooo slow that i thought there had to be another way to do it. One day I was playing around and then I just figured it out.....I kinda miss the "celebratory turn" at the end of the row though. It is so much faster for me that I guess it is worth it. I am right handed if that makes a difference.

I made my dad and brother one for Christmas.... they loved it!!! It was according to them,"the best present I ever made !!" Try making a target and competing....at our house one person uses white marshamallows and the other uses colored marshamallows.

That's a really good use for a shoebox! You did such a good job covering it that when I first saw it I thought it was made out of wood and I was going to ask if you made it. Its still cool. I like the images you chose! Good job!

your dog begs to go outside and you respond with oh come on Poohie you can wait while I read two more pages and she lays down on the floor and signs.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: how do you let a muggle down nicely when they ask you to knit something? on: November 05, 2005 09:33:01 PM
I just learned how to knit this summer and my best friends think I can twitch my nose, wave a knitting needle over a lump of yarn and voila insta-knitting goodness. A few weeks ago I announced to them that I was making a scarf for my moms birthday and the next day my friend asked me if I was finished.  While I was still shocked from this she asked me if I thought it would be possible to get a queen sized bedspread for Christmas...... so for Christmas I'm getting her a doll sized bed and making her a bedspread to match. Grin Do you think that would be wrong?
