51  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / skittles bird! on: April 22, 2004 04:11:44 PM
This is not your average mosaic...this is a mosaic made of skittles.

I just glued the skittles on with Tacky glue (but you need a LOT of glue, and you need to let it dry for at least a day to make sure they stick). I then covered the skittles with clear nail polish to keep bugs away. I love him! Parrots rock.  Wink
52  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / stool on: April 22, 2004 03:32:05 PM
My friend and I made this stool. We just painted it black and then painted our hands for the pattern. It's groovy! We named it Barbara...lol.

I hope this link works

53  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / "far out" chair on: April 21, 2004 03:56:07 PM
Hey, I just finished painting my awesome desk chair. It was just plain white (boooring) so I livened it up with an "outer space theme". (I just used acrylics.) As you can see (IF the picture actually comes up), I did the seat with a moon, the top with clouds, and the sides with stars and other awesome things.

It took me about eight hours, if you combined it all.

I did the legs with flames (to represent the sun, which I didn't have room for.)

Around the edges I did little things: Comets, shooting stars, planets, etc. Here's my little alien spaceship.

Here it is from the back; better view of the cloud top (which I did with a sponge brush.)

I consider this my best accomplishment yet. Hope you like it! (Hope my pics worked...)
54  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / the funnest scrapbook on: April 11, 2004 10:54:57 AM
Yes, "funnest" is now a word. Anyways, my friend and I decided that whenever we go out somewhere, we will carry a little disposable camera to take pictures of hot guys. Then we will make a scrapbook so we can look at it when we're PMSing! LOL... we probably wn't actually do it, I just thought I'd throw it out there for you crazy stalker-types.
55  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / t-shirts on: March 31, 2004 01:34:11 PM
Hey, I am a big fan of decorating my own T-shirts. Usually I get plain ones at AC Moore for about 3 bucks, but what's been bugging me lately is that all they have is just that...T-shirts. They don't have any cute ones like cap-sleeved (is that what you call it?) or anything like that. Do you people know if there's a craft store that sells plain cap-sleeved shirts, or if not, if there is a VERY cheap clothing store that sells them? (Must be nice and thick, so they won't absorb the paint.) Thanks!
56  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / tissue boxes on: March 31, 2004 01:23:34 PM
OK I have a ton of empty tissue boxes. I saved them because they were really pretty. (You know how they make those ones these days that are like american-flag-printed, or leopard-printed and stuff? Those rock.) I have been using them to hold my markers, but I bet you guys can come up with something far more creative. Not to mention, I really, really felt the need to have a new thread on this board.
57  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / photo film on: February 21, 2004 09:25:14 AM
I wasn't sure where else to post this. I am really interested in black-and-white photography, but a) I have a VERY limited budget and b) very limited knowledge of it. I have three questions:

-Where can I get relatively inexpensive black-and-white film?
-Do you need a special camera for black-and-white film?
-Do you know any good photography websites where I can learn more about the subject?

Thanks!
58  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Bubble tape on: February 01, 2004 11:44:38 AM
Hi, everyone... this is my first post on this website. Later I'll probably post some stuff I've done, but right now I need ideas. You know those little containers that Bubble Tape comes in? (They look like Pac-man.) I've saved two of them because it looks like I could do something with them... any ideas?
